Steam is obtained from a cold steam boiler for prodn. of cold saturated steam at low pressure, and thereby with low temp.. The plant includes a steam boiler (13) with cooling (58) and heating (14) circuits. Connected to the boiler is a vacuum-pressure pump. The steam boiler is connected to a steam spreader comprising a input pipe (22) running coilwise or in a spiral, fitted in or immediately ahead of the boiler hot gas channel.
