Abstract

A mudflap comprising a waterproof rear element (2) is formed from an elastomeric material and has a number of projections (7,9). A front screen (20) is provided consisting of a molded plastic or elastomeric net secured to the rear element (2) and contacting at least some of the aforementioned projections (7). The number of projections (9) per unit surface of rear element (2) varies from one portion to another of the same, as a function of potential impact. <IMAGE>
