Abstract

A first tool has a moulding cavity against which the sheet material is pressed by means of a rear support plate to produce a tight location between the tool part surrounding the cavity and the material. A second tool is then used to apply plastic material to the other side of the sheet material, and has a requisite moulding cavity. The sheet material in this case is supported by a plate acting as a counter piece. This plate is, however, removed before the actual moulding process occurs, the second tool being introduced in the place of the plate, and pressed tightly against the first tool and the sheet material supported by it. The first tool contains a branched channel for molten plastic, and which during the second moulding operation communicates with a channel leading to the moulding cavity in the second tool.
