Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain easily a decorated molding having a smooth surface and a beautiful appearance by a method in which a decorating sheet is place on one mold, molds are clamped, and then a resin or rubber is injected into a cavity. CONSTITUTION:A decorating sheet 5 is placed on one mold 1a and temporarily fixed by an adhesive tape 6, a cavity mold 1 and a core mold 2 are clamped together, and then a resin or rubber is injected from a gate 4 into the cavity 3 to mold a molding 11. Lastly, a decorated molding consisting of the decorating sheet 5 and the molding 11 is taken out of the molds and eccessive decorating sheet 5a and flash 4a are cut off. Thus, since the decorating sheet 5 is deformed along the face 1a of the molds by means of injection pressure, no preliminary molding of the decorating sheet 5 is required. This method is suitable for the manufacture of the interior and exterior of automobile.
