Abstract

A heat exchanger has a number of through smoke pipes coming from the hearth. The pipes issue in a space between the exchanger and the ceiling of the hearth. The smoke then leaves the hearth via a pipe above the exchanger. The hearth front side is covered by a door with ceramic glass, and the combustion speed is regulated by a thermostat-controlled electromagnet which via one or more rocker arms opens and closes an input air damper. In the hot air channel for heating air is a sensor for a thermostat which at an upper temp. activates a fan to start a cooling process for the air flow around the sensor. Then the temp. drops, the thermostat stops the fan, with combustion air then being fed to the hearth through a channel extending over the whole width of the hearth. The input air channel has a damper, and on its upper side is a gap for spreading combustion air over the whole width of the hearth. On the rear side of the channel are two air gaps and two push hatches are provided for adjustment when an increase in combustion air is needed.
