Abstract

The procedure for control of fuel injection into a two stroke engine cylinder includes variation of the differential pressure across the injection according to the operating conditions. This then controls the distance which the fuel penetrates into the combustion chamber. The fuel may be formed into a gas, with the quantity of fuel being controlled according to the load demand on the engine. The differential pressure between the fuel and the gas which is to be injected into the engine may be maintained practically uniform, while the pressure at which the gas is injected into the engine varies according to the conditions.
