Abstract
A throttle element 2 which controls the rate of flow of the induction air is disposed in the induction system 1 for an internal-combustion engine, particularly for an internal-combustion engine which is in new condition. To reduce an amount of leakage induction air, the rate of flow of the said air when the throttle element is in the closed position is reduced to a value approaching zero by means of a material 3 for example a polymer material, which is sprayed into the induction system upstream of the throttle element within vacuum applied downstream of the throttle element. <IMAGE>
