Abstract

An adjustment arm for brake mechanisms on a vehicle involves two, preferably lagged, springs (29, 31) designed as single direction couplings in a housing (7) of which one is deployed in the direction of power of the brake release action between the housing (7) and a fixed coupling bar connector to the brake shaft (1) and operates a blocking action in this direction. The other single direction coupling restrains in the other direction of movement, and is deployed between the connector (18) and a reference point (25) in series with a strike coupling with a corresponding pulley against the impact of the brake plate.This single direction coupling designed as a steer coupling for the first mentioned single direction coupling.For manual adjustment, an optional releasable coupling device (axial serrations 28) can be found between the connector (18) and the brake shaft (1).The adjusting arm displays a very simple construction with few parts and is cheap to modify, mount and maintain.<IMAGE>
