Abstract

In a pneumatic machine for spreading granular material, for example seed or fertilizer, to facilitate testing of the amount of material discharged by the machine, an opening can be caused to appear adjacent the pneumatic ejectors (17) which transport the material to spreading means. The material falls from feeding means (12, 13) into a collecting box (31) placed below the opening, so that the quantity of material discharged can be weighed. When the correct amount of material for a given operation is achieved, the ejector parts (19, 20) are moved to the right by a handle (26), levers (25, 24) and an arm (23) which carries the parts (19, 20). Such movement of the ejector parts closes the opening, after which the machine can be operated for spreading. <IMAGE>
