Abstract

A method of analysing moving image points or particles which are recorded by video means 1 and displayed on a monitor 4, comprises splitting a line synchronizing pulse ZSI and an image synchronizing pulse BSI from the image signals of the video image, passing the image signal through a filter ladder 5, and digitalising the image signal through a threshold element 6, triggering a counter 13 which indicates the position of the video-image in the x-direction by a pulse generator 12 and resetting said counter with the line synchronizing pulse, triggering a further counter 16 used for indicating the position of the video-image in the y-direction through the periodical line synchronizing pulse, which is frequency stepped-down and reset through the respective image synchronizing pulse, the digitalised video signal being logically combined at 7 with the output pulses of the two counters 13, 16 during one image cycle of the video image in the period of the sequence of two image synchronous pulses and during at least one of the subsequent image cycles and fed into a computer 27. <IMAGE>
