Abstract

In the processes for nephelometric analysis of a sample containing an antigen or an antibody to be assayed, by the antigen/antibody reaction, where the concentration of antigen or of antibody is determined from the maximum rate of variation of the nephelometric signal as a function of time, a source of error lies in the uncertainty of carrying out the measurement under conditions of excess antigen or antibody. This uncertainty is removed by using characteristics of the curve of the maximum rate of variation of the nephelometric signal as a function of the time required to achieve this maximum rate.
