Abstract
Method for the determination of the organic carbon content of raw rocks and similar Method for the determination of the organic carbon content of raw rocks, sediments and similars, by pyrolysing a sample of raw matter, which is previously crushed, at a temperature comprised between 400 and 1000.degree.C, analyzing the pyrolysis gases by gas chromstography, determining the benzene content of the pyrolysis gases and introducing the found value into a previously established relation giving the organic carbon content with regard to this benzene content.
