1529241 Cremation furnace BBC BROWN BOVERI & CO Ltd 4 Feb 1976 [2 May 1975] 04453/76 Heading F4B A cremation furnace has an electrically heated or gas heated main combustion space 3, the combustible gas from which is drawn downwards into a collecting space 4 having an ash plate 5. A central smoke channel 7 is below the ash plate and afterburner passages 8 are arranged laterally adjacent the space 4. Heating means which may be in the form of electrical elements in replaceable element carriers 11 are provided in the afterburner passages. Alternatively the afterburner passages may have gas burners.
