Abstract
1431426 Roof flashing H STROBL 25 June 1974 [25 June 1973] 28105/74 Heading E1W Roof flashing elements comprise a wedge shaped core 9 of foamed material having a cladding sheet 2 attached to the front face thereof, and a weldable film 3 attached at the upper edge of the wedge and arranged so as to be able to cover the sloping face of the wedge, the lower face 11 of the wedge being substantially free of covering. The wedge may be 'of polyurethane, foam or of a foamed mineral material. The film 3 may be of thermoplastics material embedded in the foam wedge at its upper corner. Alternatively the film may be adhered to the wedge. The facade cladding 2 may be of plastics, copper, galvanised steel or wood and the wedge foamed directly onto it. The lower surface of the wedge may be adhered directly to the roof deck or may be laid on a mortar bed for which eventuality dovetail keying grooves 12 are provided. Projections 13 may engage recesses or sockets in an adjacent wedge prior to their application to the roof.
