460 306 2 4? mycket dyr att framställa och montera. Ändamålet med uppfinningen är att åstadkomma en mufförbindning, som är väsentligt billigare att fram- ställa och monterá och är tät under längre tid, sär- 5 skilt mot stigande grundvatten.
Detta ändamål uppnås enligt uppfinningen därigenom, att den egentliga muffkroppen består av ett med överlapp- ning över förbindningsstället format plastband, som såväl i området för överlappningsfogen som i området 10 för anliggningen mot ytterröret är svetsat medelst ett elektriskt uppvärmbart band. Utöver de av ändamålet direkt framgående fördelarna har mufförbindningen enligt uppfinningen också den fördelen, att ett relativt dyrt muffrör kan undvaras och att muffkroppen i stället kan 15 framställas av ett väsentligt billigare material. Vid val av plastmaterial bör man beakta, att materialet för muffkroppen ska ha samma beskaffenhet som materialet i de värmeisolerade ledningsrörens yttermantel. Före- trädesvis utnyttjar man ett polyetenband, som är genom- zo synligt, så att man vid den avslutande skumfyllningen kan övervaka skumningsförloppet och därmed kan undvika hàlrum.
Företrädesvis är det elektriskt uppvärmbara bandet i meanderform insmält i plastbandets kantområde. Vid 25 anslutning av en strömkälla uppvärmes bandet genom motståndsuppvärmning och smälter därvid angränsande plastskikt, som hopsvetsas med varandra. Härvid är det väsentligt att ett lätt anpressningstryck föreligger såväl i området för anliggningsytan på ytterröret som 30 i området för överlappningsfogen.
Det har visat sig, att det vid ett stort avstånd mellan ytterrörändarna resp vid användning av mindre styvt material är svårt att åstadkomma en exakt svets- ning av längsfogen. 35 Detta problem löses därigenom, att en mot ytterrör- ändarna anliggande stödskena är anordnad under över- lappnignsfogen. Denna stödskena ger erforderligt mot- tryck under svetsningsförloppet. Stödskenan består före- lO 15 20 25 30 35 460 306 3 trädesvis av en T-profil, som lämpligen består av en _tunnväggig plåt. T-profilen är lätt men ändå tillräck- ligt styv för att motstå mottrycket. Såväl stödskenan som muffen anligger mot en i ytterrörens ändar utformad, ringformig urtagning. Därav erhålles den fördelen, att ingen diameterutvidgning i förhållande til yttermantelns ytterdiameter erhålles i mufförbindningsomràdet. Vid förskjutningar i jorden kan därmed inga skjuvkrafter uppträda. T-profilens fot är belägen i ett i området för urtagningen sig sträckande längsspár.
I fig l-S visas uppfinningen schematiskt.
I fig 1 visas ett plastband l, i vars kantomràde ett värmeband eller en värmetråd 3 är insmält. Plast- bandet består företrädesvis av polyeten och har exem- pelvis en tjocklek av ca 4 mm. För att värmetràden 2 ska uppvärmas anslutes ändarna 3 och 4 till en icke visad strömkälla. Genom motstándsuppvärmning av tråden 2 mjukgöres plastmaterialet i närheten av tråden och överföras därmed i svetsbart tillstànd.
I fig 2 visas en sektion genom mufförbindningen.
Här betecknas med 5 det mediumförande innerröret, med 6 skumplastskiktet och med 7 plastyttermanteln. Plast- bandet 1 anligger mot plastyttermanteln med en över- lappning, såsom visas vid 8. Plastbandet l tryckes medelst en manschett 9 mot yttermanteln 7, varvid överlappnings- fogområdet 8 samtidigt sammantryckes. För spänning av manschetten 9 utnyttjas en skruvtving 10, vars backar ll och 12 ingriper bakom manschettens 9 bockningar 13 och 14. Spännbackarna ll och 12 föres efter manschettens anbringande medelst en skruvspindel 15 närmare varandra och pressar därvid manschetten 9 mot ytterröret 7. I förspänt tillstånd uppvärmes värmetràden 2, och efter svetsförloppet borttages manschetten 9 från muffstället.
Pig 3 visar den färdiga mufförbindningèn, vid vilken plastbandet l omger förbindningsstället under anliggning mot yttermantlarna 7 och i omrâdet för de streckade ytorna är sammansvetsat med yttermantlarna 7 resp samman- svetsat i området för överlappningsfogen 8. 460 306 10 15 20 25 30 35 4 En i plastbandet l eventuellt utformad öppning, som tjänar till skumplastfyllning av utrymmet mellan innerröret 5 och plastbandet 1, kan på motsvarande sätt ; tätas genom anbringande av en plastskiva, svetsas med plastbandet l såsom beskrivits ovan.
Vid de i fig 4 och 5 visade utföringsexemplen är en T-profil 16 belägen under muffens l överlappningsfog 8. Hänvisningssiffrorna 19 och 20 visar omkretssvets- fogarna resp längssvetsfogen i området för överlappnings- fogen. Med 21 betecknas ledningsrörens värmeisolerings- skikt.
Vid framställning av den i fig 4 och 5 visade muff- förbindningen går man tillväga på följande sätt: Först utformar man medelst ett lämpligt verktyg en i omkretsriktningen sig sträckande urtagning 17 i yttermantelns 7 ände. Därefter utformas, exempelvis ¿ medelst en friktionssåg, i området för urtagningen 17 ett i riktning mot innerröret 5 sig sträckande längsspàr T-profilens SOm Samman- l8, vars djup åtminstone motsvarar höjden av 16 fot.
Efter detta förberedande rörens 5 ändar med varandra (22) och införes T-profilen 16 i spåren 18. Där omkretssvetsfogarna l9 ska sträcka sig inlägges nu en icke särskilt betecknad, meanderfor- mig värmetràd. Nu rullas muffbandet l kring förbind- ningsstället, varvid överlappningsomràdet lägges över T-profilen lö. En meanderformig värmetràd inlägges också i området för längssvetsfogen 20. Efter montering av varvid arbete hopsvetsas inner- spännanordningen inkopplas uppvärmningsströmmen, plastmaterialet i området för svetsfogarna 19 och 20 blir flytande och sammansvetsas.
Via öppningen 23 provas nu innerutrymmet mellan innerröret 5 och plastmuffbandet l vad avser täthet och eftersvetsas eventuellt. Via samma oppning 23, vil- ken eventuellt kan utvidgas, införes nu de flytande skumplastkomponenterna och åstadkommas skummet 6.

  1. lO 15 20 25 30 460 306 PATENTKRAV l. Mufförbindning för värmeisolerade ledningsrör, som består av ett mediumförande innerrör (5), företrä- desvis av stàl, ett innerröret omgivande värmeisole- ringsskikt (6) av skumplast, företrädesvis polyuretan, och ett ytterrör (7) av plast, vid vilken mufförbindning de från skumplast fria ändarna av innerrören hos tvà rörlängder som ska förbindas med varandra är hopsvetsade med varandra, förbindningsstället är täckt med en mot ytterrörändarna anliggande muff och det mellan inner- röret och muffen befintliga ringutrymmet är skumfyllt, k ä n n e t e c k n a d därav, att den egentliga muff- kroppen består av ett med överlappning (8) över förbind- ningsstället format plastband (l), som såväl i området för överlappningsfogen (8) som i området för anligg- ningen mot ytterröret (7) är svetsat medelst ett elektriskt uppvärmbart band (2).
    2. Mufförbindning enligt patentkravet l, k ä n n e - t e c k n a d därav, att det elektriskt uppvärmbara bandet (2) i meanderform är insmält i plastbandets (1) kantomràde.
    3. Mufförbindning enligt patentkravet 1 eller 2, k ä n n e t e c k n a d därav, att en mot ytterrör- ändarna (7) anliggande stödskena (16) är anordnad under överlappningsfogen (8).
