Abstract

The processing system is for residual or waste products in the form of watery sludge, the water being evaporated at high temp. by direct contact with the combustion gases from a furnace burning solid fuel, while the remaining dry substances are burnt in the latter. It comprises a drier with stirring and transport mechanism (3) for the sludge, and to which the combustion gases are delivered by pipe (11) from a combustion unit (10). Another pipe (23) delivers the dried substances to the latter.
