Description
4s6'e77-j Enligt den svenska utläggningsskriften 449 284 framställes ett foder för idisslare innehållande stelnad, jäst ammoniakbehand- lad kondenserad vassla, varvid jäst ammoniakbehandlad kondense- rad vassla innehållande 35-55% ammoniumlaktat blandas med en effektiv mängd av ett kalciumsalt av en stark mineralsyra valt från den grupp. som består av kalciumklorid, kalciumsulfat och kalciumfosfat för att bringa den jästa ammoniakbehandlade, kon- denserade vasslan att stelna och eventuellt med växtprodukter, varefter blandningen får stå tills den stelnat.
Den mekanism med vilken JAKV stelnas enligt detta förfarande är inte helt klarlagd. Den antages emellertid omfatta bildning av kalciumammoniumlaktatdihydrat (KAL), en fast kristallin substans.
För närvarande antages det att solvatiserat kalcium kemiskt för- enas med ammoniumlaktatet i JAKV, vilket resulterar i framställ- ning av KAL-saltet, som kristalliserar och/eller faller ut i mäng- der och åstadkommer total stelning. Närmare detaljer om detta förfarande kan erhållas från nämnda utläggningsskrift.
Det har visat sig i vissa fall att kalciumammoniumlaktat bildas som en biprodukt vid framställningen av JAKV. Ibland faller KAL ut i framställningsutrustningen som ett sediment t.ex. i rör el- ler lagringskärl. Denna avlagring kan förhindras genom avlägs- ning av kalcium från vassla, som användes för framställning av JAKV. Sådan avlägsning kan ske med jonbyte före jäsning. Ett lämp- ligt jonbytarsystem är hartset Amberlite 200. Omvänt kan KAL er- hållas genom rening av JAKV, dvs genom separation av KAL-kristal- ler från JAKV för att erhålla huvudsakligen rent KAL.
Kalciumammoniumlaktatsalt (KAL) har syntetiserats i laboratoriet på följande sätt: 500 volymdelar av mjölksyralösningen neutralise- ras med 257 delar vattenhaltig ammoniak (27,7% NH3) och 5,55 Vikt” aelar catomz eller (1,1 delar caclz . 2H20)- blandningen kyles till rumstemperatur, pH justeras till 6,8 med 1,0 NaOH-lösning och spädes till 1 liter med vatten. Efter det att blandningen fått stå 4-7 dagar bildas vanligen välformade kristaller, men ympning med KAL-kristaller och omröring kan erfordras. Det totala kristall- utbytet är ungefär 5 vikt-% av den beredda lösningen. 456 677 Det erhållna saltets kemiska sammansättning är följande: Bestândsdel Procent* kalcium 8,6 ammoniakkväve som NH4 7,7 mjölksyra uttryckt som ç3H503 74,4 vatten 11,1 totalt 101,8 * medelvärde av sex bestämningar Den empiriska formeln för föreningen baserad på ovan analytiska data är Ca(NH4)2 (C3H503)4 . 2H2O. Den kristallina fasta substansen kännetecknas av monolitisk sym- metri. Föreningen har inte någon distinkt smältpunkt utan före- faller tappa hydratvatten vid 120oC och brytas ned vid 190 r 5°C.
KAL är mycket lösligt i vatten, något lösligt i vattenhaltig am- moniak och olösligt i etanol. Den fasta substansen har en speci- fik Vikt av 1,47.

1. Fast kristallint kalciumammoniumlaktatdihydrat med monolitisk symmetri.
2. Användning av fast kristallint kalciumammoniumlaktat- dihydrat enligt krav 1 som foder till idisslande djur.
