Den för svetsningsförloppet använda svetsanordningen består av ett mothâll 1 och ett med detta samverkande o h med ultraljud XT c arbetande svetsverktyg 2 (Sonotrode). En sadan s etsanordning är tidigare känd (se amerikanska patentskriften 3 H68 731).
Pâ den mot en genom vikning framställd förpackning 5 vända sidan om mothållet 1 är ett vikningsverktyg 5 anordnat på samma bä- rare 6, varvid en spalt U är anordnad mellan mothållet 1 och vik- ningsverktyget 5. Bredvid svetsverktyget 2 är på den mot förpack- ningen 3 vända sidan anordnat ett med det första vikpinqsverktyget 5 samverkande andra vikningsverktyg 8, varvid en spalt 7 är anord- nad mitt för spalten U. Ett icke visat bärorgan är anordnat att uppbära svetsverktyget 2 och det andra vikningsverktyget 8, vil- ket anligger mot bärorganet medelst en tryckfjäder. Rörelsen hos mothållet 1, svetsverktyget 2 samt vikningsverktygen 5 och 8 sker tângartat. Detta kan åstadkommas medelst en i och för sig känd drivanordning (tysk Offenlegungsschrift 2 520 H00).
Då förpackningen 3 med öppen takås 9, vilken dock är försedd med vikningslinjer, har införts i tvärläge mellan de öppna vik- ningsverktygen 5 och 8 förflyttas vikningsverktygen 5 och 8 tång- liknande mot varandra för att därvid föra takåsen 9 till det på ritningen visade vikningsläget, vid vilket det egentliga svetsnings- förloppet kan utföras. - Under svetsningsförloppet hålles de delar av flikförslut- ningen 10, 11 som skall hopsvetsas mot varandra omedelbart ovanför vikníngslinjerna 12 och 15 medelst vikningsverktygen 5 och 8.
Flikarna är på insidan belagda med termoplastmaterial, exempelvis polyetcn. På litet avstånd från víkníngsverktygen 5 och 8 anlig- 7902460-0 ger mothâllet 1 och svetsverktyget 2. Då svetsverktyget 2 sättes i funktion med ultraljudvågor mjuknar termoplastmaterialet och kommer till följd av den krökta, något konvexa ytan hos mothâllet 1 att pressas mot kanterna, så att det bildas V-fogar lä och 15.
Dessa fogar har stor betydelse både för den mekaniska hållfast- heten och för förslutningens täthet.
Efter framställningen av svetsfogen kan ultraljudvågorna avstängas. Flikområdena 10 och 12 hålles emellertid ytterligare en kort tid mot varandra medelst vikningsverktygen 5 och 8, så att svetsfogen kan avkylas tillräckligt för att få erforderlig hållfasthet för sammanhållning av flikarna.
Flikarnas områden 10 och 11 intill svetsfogen hålles under svetsningsförloppet anliggande mot varandra medelst vikningsverk- tygen 5 och 8, vilka upptar eventuella återfjädringskrafter i flikarna. Därför sker under svetsningsförloppet ingen kraterbild- ning, vilken skulle kunna inverka skadligt på den mekaniska håll- fastheten och tätheten.
Förfarandet enligt uppfinningen ger även anordningsmässigt den fördelen, att inga extra verktyg krävs för hoppressning av flikarna, eftersom detta vid anordningen enligt uppfinningen sker medelst vikningsverktygen, vilka påverkas tillsammans med mothål- let och svetsverktyget.
Claims (3)
1. Förfarande för åstadkommande av en flikförslutning vid en särskilt med en takâs försedd och genom vikning framställd för- packning av termoplastbelagt kartongmatefial medelst ultraljud- svetsning, varvid flikförslutninqen efter vikningen hålls samman vid det ställe, där svetsen skall anbringas, och på den mot för- packningens inre vända sidan av svetsen medelst utifrån längs en med svetsen parallell linje verkande tryckkrafter, vilka är verk- samma under svetsnings- och avkylningsförloppet, k ä n n e t e c k- n a t av att då kartongmaterialet har en invändig aluminiumfolie bringas tryckkrafterna vid svetsen att under svetsförloppet succes- sivt avta frân svetsens centrum och mot den mot förpackningens inre vända kanten på sådant sätt att den från centrum och mot kanten undanträngda termoplasten bildar en V-fog.
2. Anordning för genomförande av förfarandet enligt patentkravet 1, vilken anordning innefattar ett mothåll och ett med detta sam- verkande svetsverktyg, vilket är anordnat att sättas i vibration med ultraljudvâgor, k ä n n e t e c k n a d av att på den mot förpackningen (3) vända sidan om mothållet (1) och svetsverktyget (2) är samverkande pressverktyg (5, 8) anordnade, vilka pressverk- tyg är belägna på litet avstånd från mothållet (1) och svetsverk- tyget (2).'
3. Anordning enligt patentkravet 2, k ä n n e t e c k n a d av att mothållet (1) är utformat med ett i flikförslutningens (10, 11) riktning anordnat, krökt utsorång, vilket är anordnat att samverka med svetsverktyget (2).
