Abstract

1,201,629. Cooling cores of dynamo electric machines. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. 21 Dec., 1967 [21 Dec., 1966], No. 58027/67. Heading H2A. The laminated armature core of a dynamo electric machine comprises a plurality of short sections arranged axially one after another and separated by radial coolant spaces. Each section includes laminations whose abutting faces are stuck together by a layer of adhesive and the assembly is held together by mechanical clamping means. The adhesive may be a thermoplastic resin or a curable resin and the faces of the laminations are coated before stacking. Preferably an acrylonitrile-phenolic resin adhesive is used. The whole core may be assembled and mechanically compressed before heating to cure the resin or alternatively individual sections may be compressed and heat treated before assembly.
