Abstract
A storage module (10) for a system for the automation of a sequence of processing operations in a production unit which comprises an industrial robot (1) arranged on a stand up against a product forming station, a number functional modules (3), each of which is designed to perform at least one processing operation in the production unit, said stand having a predefined number of cells for docking of a functional module (3) in one of said cells, the sequence of processing operations comprising a selection of functional modules (3) which have been docked in said cells and at least one of the functional modules (3) consisting of a storage module (10) for the storage of workpieces handled by the production unit in that the storage module (10) is equipped with a number of levels (12) for collecting boxes, to which the industrial robot (1) directs handled workpieces via a conveying element (14), which opens into a collecting box placed on one of said levels (12).
