Способ очистки пентаэритриттетранитрата /тэна/, включающий растворение тэна и щелочного агента в ацетоне при подогреве, разбавление раствора водным ацетоном, охлаждение суспензии тэна, отделение твердой фазы от жидкой, сушку полученных кристаллов, отличающийся тем, что раствор готовят путем смешения 1 мас. ед. тэна, 2,2-2,5 мас. ед. 90-96% ацетона, 0,005-0,015 мас. ед. щелочного агента, например, аммиачной воды, в полученную смесь дозируют 1-15% водный ацетон со скоростью 0,15-1,0 мас. ед./мин на 1 мас. ед. тэна в течение 2-15 мин.1.
