Способ совершенствования процесса сгорания топлива в ДВС, включающий получение водорода в электролизере на борту транспортного средства и подачу в камеру сгорания топливно-воздушной смеси и водорода, отличающийся тем, что, с целью снижения расхода топлива и токсичности отработавших газов при повышении безопасности транспортного средства, водород получают в электролизере отдельно от кислорода и вводят его в топливно-воздушную смесь при отношении массы водорода к массе основного топлива на режиме холостого хода в диапазоне 0,01....0,04, и обедняют топливно-воздушную смесь до коэффициента избытка воздуха 1,2...1,4.1.
