Abstract

FIELD: compressor engineering. SUBSTANCE: compressor has a shaft actuated by an electric motor the rotor of which is mounted on the shaft. The shaft is provided at least two stages with working wheels between which the electric motor is interposed. An intermediate cooler is connected between the stages with the working wheels. The shaft is set in bearing members composed of at least one supporting bearing with air or gas lubricant and self-adjusting rotatable segment supports which are provided with ceramic supporting surfaces. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
