Abstract
Description
The invention relates to methods for combating water erosion on slopes, in particular to methods of retention of surface runoff.
There is a known method of combating soil erosion on slopes (ed. Certificate RU 1644734, 04/30/1991) by joint creation on the slopes along the horizontal terrain of water-retaining trenches filled with expanded clay, and mole holes at an angle to them, filled with straw, with simultaneous cutting of cracks, destroying plow sole.
The disadvantages of this method are: low efficiency on difficult slopes with different steepness and exposure of the relief; the temporality of the action of trenches and crevices due to their destruction by subsequent soil treatments.
There is a known method of protecting soil from water erosion (RU 2644569, 02.13.2018) by creating a water-retaining trench filled with an inorganic filler in the form of plastic balls filled with a filter media made of zeolite and crushed expanded clay.
The disadvantages of this method are: low efficiency due to the low water-holding capacity of loading plastic balls (expanded clay - 10%, and zeolite - 40-70%) and rapid release of water.
The closest technical solution is a method of protecting slopes from water erosion (RU 2467543, 11/27/2012), including the creation of a trench with a shaft horizontally, filling it with an inorganic filler in the form of plastic balls with through holes.
The disadvantages of this method are: its low efficiency, tk. empty plastic balls with through holes are unable to retain water with its further gradual filtration into the ground; inflow of water contaminated with nutrients into a water body.
The objective of the invention is to improve the efficiency of the functioning of the water-holding trench filled with inorganic filler, and to prevent the ingress of nutrients into the water body.
The technical result is the prevention of water erosion and pollution of a water body by intercepting, retention and purification of surface runoff, and increasing the water-retention capacity of the inorganic filler of the anti-erosion structure.
The technical result is achieved by a method of retention of surface runoff, including the creation of a water-retaining trench, made horizontally, with a water-retaining earthen shaft and a water-retaining screen located in it, and the trench is filled with an inorganic filler, which is a plastic sphere in the form of a ball, having through holes and filled with filter media from agroperlite, while the load is poured in a ratio of 2/3 of the volume of the plastic sphere.
Filling a plastic sphere with a filtering load of agroperlite with a fraction of 5-10 mm in a ratio of 2/3 of the volume of the sphere makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the water-retaining trench by increasing the water-absorbing capacity of the inorganic filler of the trench, ensuring further gradual filtration of water into the ground, and also to prevent the balls from being washed out of the trench. The use of agroperlite allows you to purify the water passing through the water-retaining trench from suspended solids and nutrients, thereby preventing pollution of the water body. The use of a fractional composition of 5-10 mm eliminates the washing out of agroperlite particles from plastic spheres with 8 through holes with a diameter of less than 5 mm, arranged in pairs and coaxially, which ensures the flow of water into the ball from all sides, regardless of its position in the total mass in the trench. An increase in the number of holes in the sphere gives a more uniform absorption of water by agroperlite and thereby increases the rate of its absorption.
Agroperlite is a natural material of volcanic origin, very quickly heated to a temperature of 900 ° C. Particles of agroperlite, intensively absorbing water, can gain up to 400% by weight, hold it, and, if necessary, give it away easily and gradually. By its structure, agroperlite is not subject to rotting and decomposition, thereby ensuring an unlimited service life of the anti-erosion structure.
According to the invention, the method of retention of surface runoff includes the creation of a water-retaining trench, made horizontally, with a water-retaining earth wall and a water-retaining screen located therein. The trench is filled with an inorganic filler, which is a hollow plastic (GOST 22648-77) balls with through holes and filled with a filter media made of agroperlite, with a fraction of 5 to 10 mm (GOST 10832-2009). At the same time, the load of agroperlite is filled in in a ratio of 2/3 of the volume of the plastic sphere. Plastic balls have 8 through holes with a diameter of less than 5 mm, arranged in pairs and aligned.
The method of retention of surface runoff works as follows, water during snow melting and rains, forming a surface runoff, flows down the slope, bumping into an earthen embankment, gets into a water-retaining trench, being also retained in it by a water-retaining screen. Thus, the energy of the flow is extinguished in the trench. As the trench is filled, water penetrates into plastic balls, in which particles of agroperlite intensively absorb it, resulting in water retention. After spring thawing and as the soil dries out after rain, there is a gradual filtration (release) of water by agroperlite into the soil.
The use of a filtering load made of agroperlite increases the water-holding capacity of the inorganic filler of the trench, which ensures an effective retention of surface runoff, a significant decrease in soil washout, and a decrease in erosion processes. The passage of water through the filtration material helps to purify the water flow from suspended particles and nutrients, preventing them from entering the water body.
