Abstract
Description
Предлагаемое изобретение относится к области рекультивации сельскохозяйственных земель, загрязненных радионуклидами цезия-137.The present invention relates to the field of reclamation of agricultural land contaminated with cesium-137 radionuclides.
Cesium-137 is a radioactive element that enters the environment as a result of industrial accidents, has a half-life of about 30 years and is a danger to the environment of animals and humans for a long time. As a result of the Chernobyl accident in the territories of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, there was contamination of 137 cesium with significant areas. To use these lands in agricultural production, it is necessary to rehabilitate the soil with the removal of radionuclides from the arable layer.
A known method of localization of radionuclides in soils and soils (Pat. RF No. 1581084, IPC G21F 9/34, 1994). According to this method, expanded perlite granules with a radionuclide absorber embedded in the volume of perlite are used as a sorbent of radionuclides. Granules are placed in the soil. Due to the diffusion process, cesium isotopes move from the soil to perlite granules. Periodically, the soil is sieved on a sieve and perlite granules with sorbed cesium are removed. Thus, the soil is cleared of the radionuclide.
The disadvantage of this method is the low efficiency associated with a low rate of redistribution of the radionuclide between contaminated soil and perlite due to diffusion. In addition, this method of cleaning requires large material costs when sifting a significant mass of soil.
A known method of cleaning the soil contaminated with radionuclides of strontium-90 and cesium-137 (US Pat. RF 2278428, MKI G21F 9/34, BI 17, 2006). The method includes plowing and introducing into the arable layer of limestone or dolomite flour in an amount of 5-6 t / ha and potassium fertilizers in an amount of at least 200 kg / ha, followed by sowing a mixture of perennial herbs that are mowed and stored in the fall, which excludes the migration of radionuclides. This method is adopted as a prototype.
The disadvantage of this method is the duration and low cleaning efficiency associated with the need for multiple disposal of plants that absorb radionuclides.
The proposed method can be remedied by the proposed method for the remediation of soils contaminated with radioactive cesium, including mowing and removal from the contaminated area of vegetation, in which, according to the proposal, after removing the vegetation, the field surface is loosened to a depth of 3-5 cm, and 250-300 m of water-clay suspension are poured into it. 3 / ha at a concentration of 15-20%, and after drying of the soil, repeated loosening is carried out to a depth of 5-7 cm and then plowing by a plow with a skimmer to a depth of at least 2-3 times the size of the arable layer.
A new technical result from the application of the proposed method is that on the surface of the soil contaminated with cesium, create a layer impregnated with a water-clay suspension. The interaction of soil with clay suspension significantly enhances the fixation of cesium radionuclide in this layer. Subsequent loosening promotes mixing of the contaminated layer saturated with clay, and subsequent plowing with a plow with a skimmer ensures its movement to a depth of 2-3 values of the arable layer and the removal of the radionuclide from the arable horizon, where the bulk of the absorbing roots of crops are located, and its fixation outside this the horizon.
The proposed method for the restoration of soils contaminated with cesium is carried out in the following sequence:
Mowing and mowing vegetation is carried out from the contaminated site, after which the soil is loosened with a disk harrow to a depth of 3-5 cm (radioactive cesium does not penetrate to a great depth). Then the loosened layer is poured, for example, using ANZ tankers, with a water-clay suspension of 250-300 m 3 / ha. The volume of the supplied suspension ensures the filling of porosity of the loosened layer without the formation of surface runoff. The concentration of the suspension of 15-20% provides sufficient fluidity of the suspension to fill the pores and make the machine. The specific amount of suspension and the clay content in it depends on the degree of contamination of the soil with a radionuclide. After the soil has dried to a state of physical ripeness, loosening to a depth of 5-7 cm with a heavy disk harrow is carried out, providing mixing of a layer saturated with clay and containing cesium-137. Then plowing is carried out by a plow with a skimmer. The skimmer is set to a depth of 5-10 cm. The special feature of plowing with a skimmer is that the skimmer cuts off the topsoil and dumps it to the bottom of the plow furrow. And the main plowshares of the plow overlap the displaced upper layer saturated with clay that bound the cesium radionuclide.
The depth of plowing is prescribed depending on the mechanical composition of the soil. On heavy loamy soils, it is twice the thickness of the arable layer (40-45 cm), since on loams the root system of most crops is concentrated in the volume of the arable layer, and the underlying loamy soils provide additional fixation of the radionuclide. On light sandy soils, increasing the depth of plowing to a triple thickness of the arable layer reduces the likelihood of the rise of the cesium-137 radionuclide into the arable layer with an upward capillary flow of water.
Thus, the application of the proposed method for the restoration of soils contaminated with radioactive cesium provides an increase in the efficiency of removal and fixation of the radionuclide outside the root habitable arable layer of the soil with a significant reduction in material costs.
