Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to methods for monitoring the underwater environment.
[1].Known explosive sound source (VIZ), which is an explosive charge of installed power, used when it is detonated to create sound vibrations in the aquatic environment. VIZ is used in navigation to determine the ship’s location by the speed of sound propagation in the aquatic environment and the time difference between the moments of VIZ explosions at points with known coordinates and the moments of sound reception from them by the ship’s sonar station, as well as when searching for low-noise submarines (PL) by airplanes and helicopters for their detection, determination of the place and elements of movement from acoustic signals reflected from the submarine, created in the aquatic environment using resettable VIZ and received and processed using the search Yelnia system [1].
[2], [3].Known VIZ as part of a missile, also used by surface ships (NK) when searching for low-noise submarines [2], [3].
[4].Known means of sonar suppression, including devices and instruments designed to reduce the efficiency of sonar surveillance of the enemy. By the principle of action, they are divided into active and passive, by design - into self-propelled, drifting and ship. Active include simulators that provide reception of sonar signals, their reproduction and emission into the medium at frequencies corresponding to the relative dynamics of the “observer and target”, and with a power much greater than the perceived one. Passive ones include various types of anti-sonar coatings and gas-generating devices (bubble targets), which scatter the incident signal energy and thereby create false targets [4].
[5].Hydroacoustic suppression (GPA) is a set of measures aimed at reducing the effectiveness of the enemy using hydroacoustic surveillance equipment and homing weapons. GPA is carried out by creating deliberate interference that impedes the establishment of sonar contact with NK and PL, is carried out in combination with measures of sonar masking [5].
It is known that the submarine has an advantage over the NK in the detection range, therefore, it is capable of unexpectedly using the weapon on it. The most secretive means of hitting NKs are torpedoes, which, as a rule, are detected by a ship in close proximity to itself. For anti-torpedo protection (PTZ), the ship evades the detected torpedoes and uses various means of diversion and destruction of torpedoes. In addition, the PTZ can be provided with constructive protection of the ship, the use of special towed or self-propelled guards, and other GPA means [6]. Its combat effectiveness depends on the intensity of the ship’s use of the PTZ and GPA means.
VIS is a powerful source of radiation of acoustic vibrations in water and, as indicated above, is used to detect marine objects at known coordinates of VIS. If the coordinates of the VIZ are not known, for example, for the enemy, then the VIZ, acting on the means of detecting submarines and homing systems of torpedoes, turns into a powerful means of GPA.
A close analogue of the invention is a deep jet bomb (RSL), consisting of a warhead with a fuse, solid propellant rocket engine and stabilizer and designed to destroy underwater targets of the enemy [7]. There is a known method of its use on an underwater target, in which the underwater target is detected by the hydroacoustic station of the NK, the RSL is loaded into the launcher, its course and speed are determined in the fire control devices (ASN), the coordinates of the RSL landing point and the launcher pointing angles are calculated in the ASN ), introduce the depth of the explosion into the fuse of the RSL, direct the launchers, shoot the RSL at the calculated point, immerse them at the set depth, undermine and hit the underwater target [7], [8]. In practice, RSLs are not used for detecting underwater objects as VIS, although the method of using rockets with VIS is also applicable to RSLs, since the coordinates of the splashdown of the RSL and the time of its explosion, calculated in the VCP, are known. Therefore, further, the method of applying for VISA fully applies to RSL.
The aim of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of anti-torpedo defense of NKs using VIZ as a powerful means of hydroacoustic suppression of the homing system of a torpedo attacking a ship, and also as an element of a ship’s system for detecting underwater objects to clarify the coordinates of a torpedo and subsequently use means of destruction on it.
A method is proposed for using a surface ship with rockets with an explosive sound source (VIZ), in which the NK hydroacoustic station detects the enemy’s torpedo, determines its course and speed, charges the shells with VIZ into the launcher, calculates the coordinates of the landing point of each projectile in the missile launcher, and solves the problem by the development of launcher guidance angles (PU), enter the depth of the explosion, direct the PU and fire shells from the VIZ, submerge the VIZ to a predetermined depth, undermine them, take the ship direction-finding At the station, the sound wave from the VIZ and the wave from the VIZ reflected from the enemy’s torpedo are determined by the new coordinates of the torpedo and displayed on the operator’s screen. In this case, two projectiles with VIZ are fired, the coordinates of the splash points of these shells located at the vertices of an equilateral triangle on the side perpendicular to the “ship-torpedo” line, with the location of the torpedo in the third vertex remote from the ship, are additionally calculated, the sides of the triangle are taken to be 100 m, after undermining the charges of the VIZ, the explosive wave acts on the homing system of the torpedo and disrupts its operation, with the determination of the coordinates of the torpedo from the use of the VIZ, ship’s pore means are used agony.
The use of a VIZ by a surface ship will increase the intensity of hydroacoustic suppression of the homing system of a torpedo attacking a ship, while at the same time it will make it possible to clarify its coordinates for the subsequent use of weapons, which will significantly increase the anti-torpedo protection of a surface ship.
