Abstract
Description
The invention relates to veterinary medicine and can be used in animal husbandry to stimulate digestion, metabolism, the immune system, and prevention of diarrhea syndrome of newborn calves.
One of the economically significant problems of modern industrial livestock is the production and rearing of young animals. From the first days of life, newborns are sensitive to environmental factors. Their immune system is poorly developed and protection against infectious pathogens is provided by colostrum immunity. Even more difficult is the question of survival before physiologically weakened animals (hypotrophy). They are severely deficient in energy. There is no glycogen in the liver. There is no fat deposits in the tissues. Their body is most sensitive to intestinal infections. As a rule, on the first day they have digestive problems, and diarrheal syndrome develops.
Various stimulants of digestion, metabolism, and immunomodulators are widely used to increase the adaptive abilities of newborns to adverse environmental factors. In the vast majority of these funds are used as single drugs. The narrow focus of these funds often does not give a positive clinical result.
Thus, the use of metabolic stimulants improves the clinical condition of weakened animals in the long term.
The use of immunomodulators, against the background of metabolic disorders, in particular with hypotrophy of newborns, does not have a positive result.
The preventive use of pro- and prebiotics to stimulate digestion and prevent diarrheal diseases is often associated with the development of dysbiosis and does not provide the necessary therapeutic effect for diarrhea.
With the development of diarrheal syndrome, the use of immunostimulants and metabolites does not have a positive clinical result.
A complex immunometabolic drug is known - an amber biostimulant comprising succinic acid and an ASD of the second fraction in its composition (RF Patent No. 2303979 of 08/10/2007). The composition of this drug is most suitable for stimulating digestion processes and enhancing factors of natural resistance. However, this preparation does not contain an energy component, which reduces the effectiveness of its use for physiologically weakened calves.
The objective of the present invention is to develop a comprehensive composition providing a clinically pronounced effect of stimulation of the digestive system, metabolism, the immune system, the prevention of gastrointestinal diseases of calves of the milk growing period.
The specified task is implemented as follows. Composition for stimulating immunometabolic processes and preventing diarrhea syndrome of newborn calves, including in 100 ml of solution: 1.0 g of succinic acid; 4 ml of ASD of the second fraction; 50 mcg of cyancobalamin; 30 ml of glycerin; 2 g of sodium chloride; drinking water - the rest.
Succinic acid (UC) is used as the main metabolite in the enteral composition. UC and its salts (succinates) have a wide spectrum of action on various mechanisms of regulation of the metabolic activity of cells. The object of the action of UC are cells and tissues that are in a state of excitement or pathologically altered. UC is a powerful stimulator of energy production in cells, which is especially important in all kinds of pathophysiological conditions, including toxicosis, when the body does not have enough energy for the normal provision of vital functions. Enteral use of UC allows you to provide energy to the cells of the gastric mucosa and increase the secretion of gastric juice.
В качестве средства стимуляции пищеварения и повышения факторов естественной резистентности (иммунитета) используется антисептик стимулятор Дорогова второй фракции (АСД второй фракции).As a means of stimulating digestion and increasing factors of natural resistance (immunity), an antiseptic Dorogov stimulator of the second fraction (ASD of the second fraction) is used.
26.12.2008).When administered enterally, the second fraction of the second fraction has an activating effect on the central and autonomic nervous system, stimulates the secretion of digestive glands, increases the activity of digestive tissue enzymes, helps normalize digestion, assimilation of substances and increases the body's resistance (Instructions for the use of ASD. Register. No. PVR- 2-1.1 / 00937 dated 12/26/2008).
As an easily digestible glucoplastic energy source, glycerol can be used. Glycerin is a trihydric alcohol, a colorless, syrupy liquid, with a sweet taste. Glycerin attracts water, which is important for the prevention of dehydration. Easily absorbed through the gastric mucosa. (Mozgov I.E. Pharmacology. - M, 1974. - S. 148-149). In the liver, glycerol is converted to glucose through gluconeogenesis.
Е. - М., 1974. - С. 263).As a means of improving digestion, sodium chloride is used. The metabolism of sodium chloride is closely associated with metabolic processes. With enteral use, sodium chloride enhances the secretion of digestive glands, promotes the formation of pepsin and the production of gastric juice (I. Mozgov Pharmacology. - M., 1974. - S. 263).
Е. - М., 1974. - С. 213-214).As a vitamin, cyanocobalamin is used. The pharmacodynamics of cyanocobalamin (vitamin B 12 ) is the formation of vital essential amino acids - methionine, choline, creatinine, nucleic acids. It is indicated for poor development (hypotrophy) and growth retardation of young animals, gastrointestinal diseases, weakening of the detoxifying function of the liver, anemia (I. Mozgov Pharmacology. - M., 1974. - P. 213-214).
A method of obtaining a composition for stimulating immunometabolic processes and preventing diarrheal syndrome of calves of the milk period of growing is illustrated by the following example.
A sample of 10 g of succinic acid, 20 g of sodium chloride, 500 μg of cyanocobalamin was added to a glass flask, 500 ml of drinking water was added. Complete dissolution of the acid and sodium chloride was achieved by heating to 80 ° C. While cooling to 50 ° C, 300 ml of glycerol and 40 ml of ASD of the second fraction were added. The addition of drinking water brought the volume of liquid to 1000.0 ml. After mixing, they were packaged in 100 ml vials and sealed. The presence of glycerol ensures a long shelf life (at least 12 months).
The clinical effectiveness of the composition is illustrated by the following examples.
Example 1. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the composition in newborn physiologically weakened (hypotrophy) calves.
This category of newborn calves is the most vulnerable to pathogens of gastrointestinal diseases. Treatment of physiologically weakened calves is ineffective. In this regard, issues of stimulation of digestion, metabolism and the immune system are preventive in nature. This aspect was taken into account when conducting clinical trials.
The experimental groups included calves of live weight 26-27.5 kg, which is 4-2.5 kg lower than the body weight of normotrophic calves.
В качестве сравнения использовали известный комплексный иммунометаболический препарат, включающий в своем составе 1% янтарной кислоты, 4% АСД второй фракции (Патент РФ №2303979 от 10.08.2007 г).As a comparison, we used the well-known complex immunometabolic drug, which includes 1% succinic acid, 4% ASD of the second fraction (RF Patent No. 2303979 dated 08/10/2007).
Saline was used as a control.
The inventive composition, a well-known drug and physiological saline was evaporated 30 minutes before feeding the calves for 3 days. This technique is usually practiced with oral administration of drugs before feeding.
Clinical observation showed a marked improvement in the general condition of the calves of the experimental and compared groups after 24 hours. Their appetite increased markedly. They have become more mobile. At 3-4 days they began to show interest in feed additives. Diarrheal syndrome was not recorded. On the 5th day, the clinical condition of the calves of the experimental group was slightly better than in individuals from the compared group. This difference became more pronounced on the 10th day. In calves of the control group, significant changes in the clinical condition did not occur. Diarrheal syndrome was recorded in all calves of this group.
(таблица 1).The increase in live weight of calves of the experimental group was 510 g, versus 420 g in their peers of the compared group. In calves of the control group - 220 g (table 1).
3.According to the results of hematological and biochemical studies, the following changes are revealed, reflected in tables 2 and 3.
Thus, in comparative testing on calves hypotrophic, the claimed composition provided: - higher growth energy; - improvement of protein metabolism; - strengthening the humoral immunity due to higher absorption and accumulation of globulins, in particular gammaglobulin; - elimination of metabolic acidosis due to increased reserve alkalinity; - a qualitative improvement in mineral metabolism with a higher level of calcium.
Example 2. Clinical effectiveness of the composition for the prevention of diarrhea syndrome of newborn calves.
В качестве сравнения использовали известный комплексный иммунометаболический препарат, включающий в своем составе 1% янтарной кислоты, 4% АСД второй фракции (Патент РФ №2303979 от 10.08.2007 г).This series of experiments was carried out from March to May 2017 in the Experimental Breeding Station of the Lgovsky District of the Kursk Region. As a comparison, we used the well-known complex immunometabolic drug, which includes 1% succinic acid, 4% ASD of the second fraction (RF Patent No. 2303979 dated 08/10/2007).
Saline was used as a control.
The inventive composition, a well-known drug and physiological saline was evaporated 30 minutes before feeding the calves once a day for 10 days. This age period is the most problematic when raising newborn calves.
4.Clinical efficacy was assessed by recording cases of manifestation and severity of diarrheal syndrome. The results of clinical observations are presented in table 4.
During clinical observations, diarrhea syndrome in calves of the first group in the form of a mild digestive upset was recorded mainly in the first 2-3 days after birth. The main factor is drinking colostrum from mastitis cows. No clinically severe cases of diarrhea have been reported. Upon reaching one month of age, all calves in this group were clinically healthy.
In the second group, the use of the known drug provided a marked reduction in cases of diarrhea. The severity of diarrhea was mild to moderate. Severe lethal diarrhea occurred in one case.
In the third group, diarrhea syndrome, in varying degrees of severity, was observed in all calves. In 4 cases, death.
Thus, the claimed composition showed a rather high efficiency in the prevention of diarrheal syndrome in newborn calves.
