Abstract
Description
д.The invention relates to a technology for producing an astringent, in particular crystalline magnesium sulfate and iron oxide pigments used in the manufacture of building and refractory materials and products, as well as for the manufacture of paints, plastics, leather, rubber, etc.
с. №1724576, 5 C01F 5/40. И.И. М. A known method for producing concentrated solutions of magnesium sulfate by reacting a magnesium-containing raw material with ammonium sulfate is used as a magnesium-containing raw material gypsum-magnesium mass, and ammonium sulfate is used in a solid state at 1.1 ... 1.3-fold excess with respect to magnesium hydroxide in the gypsum-magnesium mass [ A.S. No. 1724576, 5
This method has the following disadvantages:
1) не экономично Использовать для изготовления указанных материалов дорогостоящие сульфат аммония и гипсомагнезиальной массы;1) it is not economical to use expensive ammonium sulfate and gypsum-magnesian mass for the manufacture of these materials;
2) the resulting waste is not used in industry.
15.08.65. Josef Semecky, Vaclow Syrovy].There is also known a method for producing technical chloride or magnesium sulfate, as well as their mixture by reacting spent hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, as well as their mixture with a concentration of at least 16%, with magnesium-containing raw materials - magnesite dust, captured during heat treatment of magnesite ore used for the manufacture of refractory lining material [US Pat. Czechoslovakia No. 115819, IPC C01F 5/40, declared 03/15/65, publ. 08/15/65. Josef Semecky, Vaclow Syrovy].
This method also has significant disadvantages:
1) значительные энергетические затраты при кристаллизации и сушке получаемых продуктов и потери по процессу;1) significant energy costs during crystallization and drying of the resulting products and losses in the process;
2) insufficient strength and heat resistance of refractory products obtained using a mixture of magnesium chloride and sulfate and the complexity of their separation.
The closest in essence and the achieved results is a method of producing magnesium sulfate, including the interaction of magnesium-containing raw materials - fine dust of magnesite with spent sulfuric acid, crystallization of the target product and drying it [US Pat. RF №2078041,
However, this method also has the following disadvantages:
1) низкий выход получаемых сульфата магния и пигмента;1) low yield of magnesium sulfate and pigment;
2) в процессе производства высокие энергозатраты на выпарку раствора;2) during the production process, high energy consumption for the evaporation of the solution;
3) the quality of the obtained magnesium sulfate and iron oxide pigments do not meet the requirements for the production of certain types of materials.
Технический результат предлагаемого решения - повышение выхода по процессу и качества получаемых продуктов, снижение энергозатрат в процессе переработки сернокислого отработанного травильного раствора (СОТР).The technical result of the proposed solution is to increase the yield of the process and the quality of the products obtained, reduce energy consumption during the processing of spent sulfuric pickling solution (SOT).
The problem is achieved by using crystalline magnesium sulfate and iron oxide pigments COTP containing 3-5% sulfuric acid and 15-20% iron sulfate, an alkaline waste reagent (magnesium-containing raw materials), followed by separation of the suspension into iron and magnesium-containing precipitates, which were then subjected to hydrothermal processing in order to obtain the above products.
843).The hydrothermal process is crystallization of various inorganic products from sulfates of superheated aqueous solutions: iron, copper, zinc, lead, antimony, mercury, arsenic sulfates (Brief Chemical Encyclopedia, Moscow, 1961, v. 1, p. 843).
М., 1961, т. 1, с. 1151).According to literature data [Technology of mineral raw materials. Pozin M.E. L .: Chemistry, 1961. - 1008 p., P. 181-190, Encyclopedia (brief chemical). M .: Mir, 1997, vol. 2, p. 396, 1024 pp.], The magnesium-containing raw material consists of magnesite (MgCO 3 ) and dolomite (MgCO 3 ⋅CaCO 3 ), which interacts with dilute sulfuric acid only in a finely divided state when heated (for example, magnesite with a particle size of 0.1 ... 0 , 2 mm is dissolved in sulfuric acid of 28% concentration when heated with hot steam to a boiling point of 120 ° C or more). Magnesium oxide actively interacts with acids, but it can be obtained by calcination of magnesite at a high temperature (900 ° C) and it is not economically viable to use spent pickling solutions. Therefore, a method is proposed for their neutralization of the composition indicated below with finely dispersed dolomite dust (dust powder with a particle size of less than 1 micron) formed during heat treatment of dolomite ore and used in the blast furnace process (Brief Chemical Encyclopedia. M., 1961, v. 1, p. 1151) .
(1-5):A feature of the proposed method for the preparation of crystalline magnesium sulfate and iron oxide pigments is the interaction of sulfuric acid and iron sulfate COTR with the waste of an alkaline reagent by entrainment dust obtained by calcining dolomite at a temperature of 600-750 ° C and containing 80 ... 85% MgO, 3 ... 5% CaO and 7 ... 10% MgO⋅ССОСО 3 taken in the ratio 1: 1.2-1.3 at a temperature of 80 ... 100 ° С for 1.0 ... 1.5 hours to a pH of 7.0 ... 7.5 by blowing the suspension with air, the oxygen of which oxidizes iron Fe + 2 in Fe +3 . Moreover, in the reactor, depending on the amount of air supplied, the following reactions proceed (1-5):
После окончания реакции (прекращение выделения газов) полученную суспензию подают на автоматический фильтр-пресс в горячем виде, отмывают от пасты на поверхности фильтра остатки сульфата магния химочищенной водой или конденсатом. Далее осадок с поверхности фильтр-пресса передают в комбинированную сушилку, в которой паста одновременно сушится и измельчается до заданной дисперсности при температуре в зависимости от состава получаемого пигмента: при получении желтого железоокисного пигмента (FeOOH) паста сушится при температуре 110…120°С, при получении красного железоокисного пигмента (Fe2O3) - при температуре 240…320°С;After the end of the reaction (termination of gas evolution), the resulting suspension is fed to the automatic filter press in hot form, the remaining magnesium sulfate is washed from the paste on the filter surface with chemically purified water or condensate. Next, the precipitate from the surface of the filter press is transferred to a combined dryer, in which the paste is simultaneously dried and ground to a predetermined dispersion at a temperature depending on the composition of the pigment obtained: upon receipt of the yellow iron oxide pigment (FeOOH), the paste is dried at a temperature of 110 ... 120 ° C, at obtaining red iron oxide pigment (Fe 2 O 3 ) - at a temperature of 240 ... 320 ° C;
1.The filtrate and washing water containing magnesium sulfate separated from the precipitate in a filter press are fed to a reactor, in which, in order to eliminate the further high-cost stage of evaporation of excess water, the content of sulfate ions in the resulting product is increased to 35 ... 40% in the resulting product by adding concentrated sulfuric acid and neutralize the solution with the indicated dolomite dust at a temperature of 90 ... 100 ° C to a pH of 7.0 ... 7.5. When a hot solution is cooled in a mold cooled by industrial water, the formation of magnesium sulfate crystalline hydrates of various compositions, depending on the temperature, occurs according to the data given in the table below. one.
MgSO4⋅4H2O.Notes: * In the temperature range 87 ... 92 ° С MgSO 4 ⋅ 6H 2 O melts to form metastable MgSO 4 ⋅ 5H 2 O and MgSO 4 ⋅ 4H 2 O.
MgSO4⋅2H2O.** Solid MgSO 3 ⋅ 4H 2 O at a temperature of 106 ° С transforms into MgSO 4 ⋅ 3H 2 O, which at a temperature of 161 ... 169 ° С turns into MgSO 4 ⋅ 2H 2 O.
(5).When cooling the resulting hot solution in a crystallizer at a temperature below 48 ° С, salt crystallization begins with the formation of magnesium sulfate crystalline hydrate according to reaction (5).
The advantages of the proposed method are to increase the yield and quality of pigments and crystalline magnesium sulfate, which are confirmed by the following examples of the obtained laboratory samples and experimental batch compared with those produced in existing plants.
