Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine and can be used to treat asthma.
There are known physical methods of treating bronchial asthma based on the use of special natural factors - the mountain climate, treatment in salt mines (Kochumyan A.L. Bronchial asthma. Stavropol, 1976). The main disadvantage of this treatment is the recurrence of the disease after the patient returns to his usual habitat.
Physical methods for treating bronchial asthma are known, based on the use of mechanical, thermal, electromagnetic energy, hypobaria, aimed at activating their own normalizing neurohumoral mechanisms of the human body.
The aim of the invention is to simplify and reduce the cost of the method of treatment of bronchial asthma.
Л. 1971). The goal is achieved in that the patient is exposed to multidirectional individually dosed accelerations that do not cause the appearance of vestibular disorders, thereby exciting the vestibulo-hypothalamic complex, and the sympathetic nervous system is activated. (Koryukin V.E. Role and significance of central nervous mechanisms in the genesis of vestibular reactions. Abstract of dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences, L., 1986). The neurohormones formed in the hypothalamus (releasing factor), having a wider range of action than hormones of the endocrine glands, have a generalized effect on an extensive complex of organs and thereby regulate the most important biological processes and, first of all, the implementation of adaptive reactions of the body (A.L. Polenov Hypothalamic neurosecretion, L., 1971).
Patient S., born in 1936, medical history N 5676, was admitted to the otolaryngology clinic of the VMedA them. CM. Kirov about chronic polypous-purulent polysynitis, bronchial asthma, infectious-allergic, moderate severity. Bronchial asthma since 1985. Within a month, the patient underwent sanitizing operations on both maxillary sinuses, ethmoidal labyrinths, partial submucosal resection of the nasal septum. In the postoperative period, an increase in bronchial asthma attacks was noted up to 5-7 times a day, which were withdrawn after applying the Berotek aerosol. Starting from 32 days of hospitalization, the patient underwent a course of treatment of the proposed method, consisting of 15 sessions conducted over 3 weeks. To reproduce the accelerations, Khilov’s swing was used (K. Khilov. The function of the equilibrium organ and the disease of movement. L., 1969), when the swing skidded at an angle of 30 o , the length of the hanging bars was 4.5 meters, and the swing period was 3 s.
Before the session, blood pressure, pulse, the color of visible mucous membranes and skin, the state of nasal breathing, endoscopically the condition of the nasal mucosa and the size of the nasal concha were recorded, the patient's general well-being was also evaluated.
Swing for 20 minutes was well tolerated by the patient, that is, there were no signs of uncomfortable vestibular reactions. Immediately after the first session, the patient noted the disappearance of breathing difficulties, the release of nasal breathing, increased heart rate (from 68 to 74 beats per minute), the appearance of slight pallor of the skin, nasal mucosa, and a decrease in the size of the lower nasal concha. Blood pressure indicators did not change. Similar changes occurred after other sessions. Thus, the sessions caused sympathetic activation. The number of attacks of bronchial asthma decreased by the 6th session to 2 per day, by 11 to 1 attack per day, after the course (taking into account the previous rehabilitation of chronic foci of infection) there were no attacks of bronchial asthma for 1.5 years.
We have registered a case when patient K., during the first session, by 18 min of swings in this way showed mild nausea, dizziness. The session was immediately terminated, which led to the rapid disappearance of discomfort. For this patient, the duration of subsequent sessions was set equal to 15 minutes. The patient examination data before and after sessions of such duration convincingly spoke of sympathetic activation from exposure.
Treatment with this method was carried out in 23 patients. Moreover, given the specifics of the medical institution, the treatment was carried out after surgical debridement of chronic foci of infection of the upper respiratory tract. In 19 cases, after successful surgical treatment and the course of treatment with the proposed method, it was possible to obtain a long-term remission during bronchial asthma - there are no asthma attacks to date (the maximum period is 1.5 years after discharge from the clinic). In other cases, good results were obtained after repeated courses of treatment of the proposed method.
In the treatment of bronchial asthma, great importance is attached to sympathomimetic drugs. The impact on the body of accelerations initially causes activation of the sympathetic nervous system (increased performance, vitality, improved mood, increased heart rate, an adequate increase in blood pressure). Thus, dosed accelerations that do not cause vestibular disorders can be recommended for the treatment of patients with bronchial asthma. A case has been registered when an employee of the Baltic Shipping Company manages to conceal a disease with bronchial asthma, since during sailing the symptoms of the disease completely disappear.
In the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma, allergy is of great importance. Activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary neurosecretory complex, which carries out general hormonal regulation, favorably affects the course of the disease, but this does not replace measures for the rehabilitation of chronic foci of infection.
The proposed method is easily reproduced, it does not require large material costs, additional training of medical personnel.
The method guarantees compliance with the principles of an optimal and individual approach in the treatment of bronchial asthma, since the "dose" of exposure is regulated by the patient himself (development of vestibular reactions is not allowed).
The method has practically no contraindications, except in those cases when the patient is shown peace.
Treatment with this method allows to solve the problem of septic complications, since the possibility of instrumental introduction into the organism of pathogens of dangerous diseases is excluded.
