Abstract
При этом обеспечиваютс повышенные прочностные характеристики смеси (предел прочности на изгиб 10,8-12,3 кгс/см2) и снижение ее себестоимости .Usage: the invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to compositions of heat-insulating mixtures used for lining the profitable part of a mold during steel casting. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the heat-insulating mixture, including silica sand and a binder, contains as a binder a highly polymerized polystyrene with a melting point of 550-600 ° C in the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%: Highly polymerized polystyrene 10 -20, quartz sand 80-90. At the same time, enhanced strength characteristics of the mixture are provided (tensile strength in bending 10.8-12.3 kgf / cm2) and a decrease in its prime cost.
Description
Изобретение относитс к металлургии, а именно к составам теплоизолирующих смесей, используемых дл футеровки при- бальной части изложницы при разливке стали .The invention relates to metallurgy, and in particular to compositions of heat-insulating mixtures used for lining the bulk of the mold during steel casting.
A known mixture for the manufacture of insulating liners, containing, wt.%: Quartz sand 70-80, clay refractory 3-6, pulp and paper waste 8-10, sulphite-alcohol bard 4-10, rice husk 4.8-11 , 0. A significant drawback of this mixture is the low strength of the liners made from the mixture, which leads to significant losses in the form of bo. This, as well as the multicomponent composition of the mixture contributes to an increase in the cost of production of insulating inserts.
Closest to the proposed mixture is a heat insulating mixture for lining profitable extensions of the molds, containing, wt.%: Chopped wood 10-15. coke powder 5-10, liquid glass 12.7-14.5, quartz sand - the rest. The specified mixture has low strength characteristics, which leads to significant losses of liners in the form of bo during DUT transportation and contributes to an increase in the cost of the mixture.
The aim of the invention is to increase the strength and plastic characteristics of the mixture, simplify production technology and reduce costs.
10-20.The object of the invention is achieved in that a heat-insulating mixture comprising silica sand and a binder contains highly polymerized polystyrene as a binder in the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%: Silica sand 80-90, highly polymerized polystyrene 10-20.

Highly polymerized polystyrene is a waste product of polystyrene, has a melting point of 550-600 ° C and high plastic properties.
The table shows examples of the composition of the proposed and known mixtures.
In order to make heat insulating liners from the mixture according to the invention, highly polymerized polystyrene is melted in the bath of the melting unit, then quartz sand is added in an amount corresponding to the ratio indicated in the formula. After stirring, the finished mixture is poured into a mold where it remains until completely solidified. Finished liners, after removing them from the mold, are used for lining profitable extensions or the top of the mold.
Предел прочности на изгиб дл смеси 1 составил 10,8 кгс/см2, дл смеси 2-11,8, дл смеси 3-12,3, дл из- On samples cut from insulating inserts made of mixtures shown in the table, the strengths of the mixture under bending were determined by the standard method. The flexural strength for mixture 1 was 10.8 kgf / cm2, for a mixture of 2-11.8, for a mixture of 3-12.3, for
При этом предлагаема смесь отличалась повышенной пластичностью , отсутствием хрупкости.the known mixture is 9.5 kgf / 2. Moreover, the proposed mixture was characterized by increased ductility, lack of fragility.
Thus, the mixture according to the invention has improved strength characteristics, due to which, as well as a relatively simple composition has a reduced cost.
