С помощью рычага передний конец бревна наваливают на прицеп, уложив его на навалочный брус 6. На передний конец бревна закрепляют чокер 5, обматывают его несколько раз вокруг заднего кнехта 8. При этом другой конец чокера 5 закрепляют на переднем кнехте 7. При движении тягача 1 усилие с ведущих колес передается на раму, далее на фаркоп и через тяговый трос 3 на прицеп 2. Бревно на прицепе удерживается от продольного перемещения чокером 5, в поперечном направлении бревно центрируется относительно оси полуприцепа за счет собственного веса и седла 10 траверсы 9.
