Abstract
Inventia se refera la un procedeu de obtinere a unui catalizator de argint pe suport pentru oxidarea de etilena la oxid de etilena lcu oxigen molecular. Catalizatorul se prepara prin impregnarea unui suport cu o solutie de hidrocarburi, o sare de argint a unui neoacid avand 7 sau mai multi atomi de carbon. De preferinta, solventul de hidrocarburi este toluen, xilen, etilbenzen, ciclohixam sau cumen. Suportul impregnat se usuca si argintul se activeaza în conditii astfel alese încat sa dea selecctivitatea optima la oxidul de etilena. Dupa aceea, catalizatorul de argint activat se poate impregna cu o solutie de metal alcalin suficienta sa mareasca selectivitatea catalizatorului de argint peste starea sa libera de alcalii. Cantitatea de metal alcalin pe catalizatorul finit este optima pentru suportul special ales si de preferinta, va fi de circa 1-6x10-3 g.e.g. (greutate echivalenta în grame/kg catalizator). Catalizatorul mai poate cupronde, de asemenea, promotori suplimentari ca metale alcalino-pamantoase, de preferinta, bariu.
