Inventia se refera la un procedeu pentru prepararea 5-(dihidroxifenoxi)-tetrazolilor cu formula I: (vezi formula) în care fiecare substituent R este hidroxil sau a unor amestecuri de izomeri ai acestora precum si a sarurilor netoxice, acceptabile sub aspect fiziologic ale acestora. procedeul consta în aceea ca, un compus cu formula generala II (vezi formula) este demetilat prin încalzire cu metionina în acid metasulfonic la temperatura de 75 degree C.
