Inventia se refera la o instalatie de comanda pentru sectii de sustineri mecanizate cu mai multi stîlpi de sustinere, utilizînd un numar redus de supape si de conducte flexibile de comanda. în componenta instalatiei propriu-zise este un bloc de comanda, format din mai multe supape, care, prin intermediul unui tub flexibil, poate distribui agentul energetic la diversi consumatori, cu ajutorul unor supape de inversare, si, prin aceleasi conducte, comanda poate fi data la consumatori impusi de starea reala momentana.
