SAFETY MEANS FOR CARRIAGE, CUSHIONS AND THE LIKE, TRANSPORTABLE BY CAR "This utility model refers to safety devices for crib-cots, crib-chairs and the like, transportable in automobiles. The danger to children when they are transported in a crib or the like is already known, lying on the back seat of a car.

In order to secure the crib or the like on the seat of the car, various means have been envisaged, such as providing the crib with an external frame fitted with safety straps, in providing the crib with flanges located on their tops, also intended for the passage of safety straps, or for fittings on said side of the crib with said straps.

These known security means are generally complex and some of them do not fully guarantee that it is impossible for the crib or similar to come back.

It is an object of the present model to obtain means of safety that do not aesthetically dismantle the finish of the crib or the like, means which use as belts the safety belts that the car already has installed, thus achieving the subjection of the crib by two opposing cross-sectional areas which provide great safety in relation to a collision or abrupt braking of the car. It is characteristic of these security means that they comprise in the crib or the like, guides for the passage of the seat belt of the safety belts which are arranged, transversally aligned, in the crib, in two opposite zones of the same .

At least one of the guides, from each of the opposing zones in which they are situated, has a locking device which holds the corresponding strap or bandolier.

Although a number of devices for the indicated purpose are already known, which have different means for obtaining the said retention, such as sliding wedges, articulated tweezers, rotating cylinders and others, this new device was designed with which a safe effect quickly and with simple means.

This new device essentially comprises a fixed longitudinal member and a movable member having a groove facing said member, a fixed member and a movable member between which passes the belt or the like which is retained by the engagement of the movable member with said member fixed element, a junction position in which the movable part is locked by means of a cam follower.

These and other features will further emerge from the following detailed description in order to facilitate the combination of two sheets of drawings in which a practical case of embodiment is shown, which is referred to by way of non-limiting example of the scope of the invention.

Fig. 1 - shows, in perspective, a basket-cradle installed on the back seat of a car and secured with the safety means in question;

Fig. 2 - shows, in perspective, the crib, with the placement of the guides for the safety straps;

Fig. 3 - indicates, in side elevation, the crib-safe crib to the car seat;

FIGS. 4 and 5 respectively show, in perspective and in side elevation, the guide comprising a belt locking device, thus, respectively, in a passive and active position; and

Fig. 6 - shows said device, in longitudinal section, in an active position.

According to the drawings, these securing means comprise, in the crib (C), two alignments of guides provided transversely in opposite zones of the crib, which guides are disposed on one side of the latter and on its bottom, one of them (1) in the upper rim of the crib, the other (2) in the lower rim thereof and a third (3) in the bottom of the crib, said guides (1) and (2) to the center of the crib, while the guides (3) have the opening in the opposite direction, that is, facing the ends of the crib.

These guides pass, in each of the opposite zones, the corresponding bandages (B) of the respective safety belt (S) of the car itself. -4-

The guides (1) have a locking device which retains the corresponding leg-piece (B), which device comprises a movable control lever (4) with an eccentric head (5) and acting by pressing a movable half against the other fixed half (7) thereof, said fixed half forming a longitudinal projection which engages a groove (8) of the movable half (6).

These safety features may also apply to a crib chair. In the case shown in phantom in the drawings, the crib chair comprises the seat (A), the back (R), the footrest (P) and a complement (O), which chair has a hinged handle (T). In this case, the corresponding guide (1) will be incorporated in the handle (T) itself. The part (6) forms at one of its ends a cavity (9) in which the eccentric head (5) of the control lever (4) is housed.

Said parts (6) and control lever (4) are connected to an axle (10), mounted on the body of the crib (C), the piece (6) being locked, loosely engaged in said axis by one of its ends and by means of an orifice (11), the axis of which the head of the control lever (4) is hinged by means of a pin (12). The retaining of the cross belt (B) of a car's seat belt is obtained by passing it between the fixed element (7) and the moving part (6), the control lever (4) being open (figure 4 ), the control lever is then actuated by rotating it on the part (6) as indicated by the arrow (F), whereby the eccentric head (5) will press the movable part (6) against the fixed element (7) ), said strip (B) being secured between said member and the groove (8) of said part (Figures 5 and 6). To facilitate the passage of the strip B, laterally between the element 7 and the part 6, one and another will have its free end in the form of a rounded bevel.

If the strip (B) is to be removed, turn the control lever (4) in the opposite direction.

Safety devices for crib-cribs, crib-chairs and the like, transportable in cars, characterized in that they comprise, in the crib (C) or similar, guides (1-2-3) for the passage of belts ( B) fastened to the car, which are arranged transversely to the crib (C) in two opposite zones thereof. Safety means for crib-cribs, crib-chairs and the like, transportable in cars, according to claim 1, characterized in that the straps (B) arranged transversely above the crib (C) or the like are two and correspond (B) of the seat belts (S) of the car itself. Safety means for crib-cribs, crib-chairs and the like, transportable in automobiles, according to claim 1, characterized in that some of the guides (1) have a locking device which retains the corresponding belt (B). Safety devices for crib-cots, crib-chairs and the like, transportable in cars, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the guides (1,2,3) are provided in two opposite zones of the crib ( C) or the like and are disposed on one of the sides and the bottom thereof. Safety means for crib-cots, crib-chairs and the like, transportable in motor vehicles, according to claim 3, characterized in that the locking device comprises a fixed longitudinal element (7) and a part (6) (7), a member (7) and a part (6) between which the strap or shoulder strap (B) passes, which is retained by the connection of the movable part (6). ) against said fixed element (7), the connecting position in which the movable part (6) is locked by means of an eccentric control (4). Safety means for crib-cots, crib-chairs and the like, transportable in vehicles, according to claim 5, characterized in that the movable part (6) and the eccentric control (4) are connected to a (10) mounted on the body of the crib (C) carrying the longitudinal element (7). Safety means for crib-cushions, crib-armchairs and the like, transportable in cars, according to claims 5 and 6, characterized in that the eccentric control (4) is constituted by a hinged lever (12) on said axis (10), in which the movable part (6) is loosely threaded (11).
