Abstract

Transportation of travel cribs in a car. The safety device comprises, on the travel cradle (C) or the like, guides (1, 2, 3) for the passage of bands (B) fixed to the car, these guides being mounted transversely to the travel cradle (C ) in two opposite areas of the latter. The devices are used to safely transport an infant in a travel crib.

Description

The present invention relates to safety devices for cradles

  travel bags transportable by car, cradle seats

convertible travel and the like.

  We already know well the risk that babies run when they are transported in a travel cradle or the like placed in the back seat

of a car.

  In order to fix the travel cradle or the like on the seat of a car, various devices have been provided, consisting, for example, of fitting the travel cradle with an external frame having fixations for safety straps, to be provided also the stirrup travel cradle on its front ends for the passage of safety straps, or to be provided, on a

  on the sides of the travel cradle, attachments for said straps.

  These known safety devices are generally complex, and some of them do not make it completely impossible for the cradle

  travel or the like to turn around.

  The object of the present invention is to create safety devices which, from an aesthetic point of view, do not give way to the completed appearance of the travel cradle or the like, said devices using, as safety straps, the same seat belts which are already fitted to the car and which also allow the travel cradle to be fixed in two opposite transverse zones, thus ensuring high safety with regard to

  a collision or sudden braking of the car.

  These safety devices are characterized by the fact of comprising, on the travel cradle or the like, guides for the passage of the shoulder strap of the seat belts, said guides being mounted in an arrangement aligned transversely to the travel cradle in two zones

opposites of the latter.

  At least one of the guides in each opposite area where they are mounted has a locking member which holds the band or strap

corresponding.

  Although it is known, for the purposes mentioned above, several devices which have different devices for achieving said maintenance, such as sliding corners, articulated clamps, rotating cylinders or the like, this new device has been designed to create a safe hold effect, and

  this in a quick way and using simple means.

  The new device essentially comprises a fixed longitudinal element and a movable part which has a groove facing said fixed element, the strip or the like passing between said fixed element and said movable part and being held by the engagement of the movable part against said fixed element, said movable, able part being locked in said

  grip position by means of an eccentric control.

  Explanatory which will follow made with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings given solely by way of examples illustrating an embodiment of the invention and in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view from above of a travel cradle mounted on the rear seat of a car and fixed using the safety device according to the invention; Figure 2 shows, in perspective from below, the travel cradle with the arrangement of guides for the safety bands; Figure 3 illustrates, in side elevation, the travel cradle attached to the seat of a car; Figures 4 and 5 show respectively, in perspective and in side elevation, the guide comprising a band locking member, seen respectively in the passive position and in the active position; and Figure 6 shows in longitudinal section said locking member

in the active position.

  Referring to the drawings, the safety device according to the invention comprises, on the travel cradle C, two aligned arrangements of guides provided transversely in opposite zones of the travel cradle, said guides being mounted on one side of the travel cradle. travel and on its bottom, one 1 of them being at the upper edge of the travel cradle, another 2 being placed at the lower edge of the latter, and a third 3 being located on the bottom of said travel cradle, the guides 1 and 2 having their openings directed towards the center of the travel cradle while the guides 3 have their openings oriented in the opposite direction,

  that is to say directed towards the respective ends of the travel cradle.

  The corresponding strap B of the seat belt S of the

  car itself passes through these guides in each opposite area.

  The guides 1 have a locking member which holds the corresponding strap B, said locking member comprising a rotary control lever 4 with an eccentric head 5 which acts by pressing a movable half 6 of the guide against the other fixed half 7 of this last, said fixed half 7 forming a longitudinal projection which fits in a

  groove 8 of the movable half 6.

  This safety device can also be applied to a seat for a convertible travel cradle. In the case shown in broken lines in the drawings, the seat for convertible travel cradle consists of a seat A, a backrest R, a footrest P and a complement O, said seat having a handle articulated T. In this case, the guide

  correspondent 1 will be incorporated in the handle T itself.

  At one of its ends, the part 6 forms a cavity 9 to accommodate the

  eccentric head 5 of the control lever 4.

  Said part 6 and the control lever 4 are adapted to a bolt 10 mounted in the chassis of the travel cradle C, thereby fixing part 6 at one of its ends, the bolt 10 extending, without being tightened, through a hole 11 provided in said end, the head of the control lever 4 being joined to

  the end of said bolt by means of a rod 12.

  Maintaining the crossing strip B of the safety belt of a car is obtained by passing it between the fixed element 7 and the displaceable part 6 when the control lever 4 is in the open position (fig. 4 ), after which, by actuating the control lever 4 by rotating it on the displaceable part 6 as indicated by the arrow F, the eccentric head 5 thus pressing the displaceable part 6 against the fixed element 7, the strip B is thus clamped between said element and the groove 8 of said part 6 (Figures 5 and 6). In order to facilitate the passage of the strip B laterally between the element 7 and the part 8, the free end of each of them will be

chamfered in a rounded manner.

  To remove band B, simply turn the control lever 4

in the opposite direction.

Safety device for travel cradles transportable by car, seats for convertible travel cradles and the like, characterized in that they include, on the travel cradle (C) or the like, guides (1, 2, 3) for the passage of bands (B) fixed to the car, said guides being mounted transversely to the travel cradle (C) in two zones opposites of the latter.   2. Safety device for travel cradles transportable by car, seats for convertible travel cradles and the like according to claim 1, characterized in that the bands (B) mounted transversely to the travel cradle (C) or the like are the number of two and correspond to the strap (B) of the seat belts (S) of the car itself.   3. Safety device for travel cradles transportable by car, seats for convertible travel cradles and the like according to claim 1, characterized in that some (1) of the guides have a   locking member which holds the corresponding strip (B).   4. Safety device for travel cradles transportable by car, seats for convertible travel cradles and the like according to   Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the guides (1, 2, 3) are provided   in two opposite areas of the travel cradle (C) or the like and are   mounted on one of its sides and on its bottom.   5. Safety device for travel cradles transportable by car, seats for convertible travel cradles and the like according to claim 3, characterized in that the locking member comprises a fixed longitudinal element (7) and a movable, able part ( 6) having a groove (8) directed towards said fixed element (7), the strip or strap (B) passing between said element (7) and the part (6) and being held by the engagement of the movable part ( 6) against said fixed element (7), the movable part (6) being locked in said gripping position by means of a control (4) to eccentric (5).   6. Safety device for travel cradles transportable by car, seats for convertible travel cradles and the like according to claim 5, characterized in that the displaceable part (6) and the eccentric control (4) are adapted to a bolt (10) mounted in the chassis of the   travel cradle (C) carrying the longitudinal element (7).   7. Safety device for travel cradles transportable by car, seats for convertible travel cradles and the like   Claims 5 and 6, characterized in that the eccentric control (4) (5)   consists of a lever (4) joined by a rod (12) to said bolt (10), this   the latter extending (11), without being clamped, through the displaceable part (6).
