DESCRICÀO “Composição lubrificante”
Este invento refere-se a uma composição lubrificante e está particularmente relacionado com um lubrificante de transmissão adequado, por exemplo, para sistemas de transmissão de helicópteros. O desenvolvimento de novos sistemas de transmissão, por exemplo para helicópteros, conduziu ao requisito de lubrificantes dedicados para tais fins, que possam cumprir os exigentes critérios de suporte de carga e protecção contra a corrosão. Especificações avançadas, por exemplo, pelo U.K. Ministry of Defence e pela United States Navy, colocam requisitos que devem ser cumpridos pelos novos lubrificantes dedicados à transmissão de helicópteros, os quais não podem ser satisfeitos pelos lubrificantes para motores de turbina de avião existentes. Existe assim a necessidade de novas composições lubrificantes melhoradas para tais fins. O presente invento procura satisfazer esta necessidade.
Em DE-A-2039785 revela-se uma composição de aditivo de suporte de carga para um motor de turbina a gás. A composição de aditivo de suporte de carga compreende um fluido de material base de éster sintético, possuindo uma viscosidade de 5,6 a 6,0 cs. a 99°C (210°F) (ver Exemplos).
Em US-A-3694382 divulga-se um lubrificante para um motor de turbina a gás. O lubrificante compreende um material de base de éster sintético possuindo uma viscosidade de 4,0 a 9,1 cs. a99°C (210°F).
Em FR-A-2215462 revela-se um lubrificante tendo um óleo mineral como material de base.
Em WO-A-9410270 revela-se uma composição lubrificante inibidora de corrosão, compreendendo um material de base sintético possuindo uma viscosidade de pelo menos 4,9 cSt a 100°C.
Neste documento é feita referência a 'IRGALUBE®' e 'Herco® A', que podem ambos ser marcas registadas.
Em concordância, o presente invento proporciona uma composição lubrificante que compreende: 2 2

ΕΡ Ο 757 712/PT a) um componente de base compreendendo um ou mais materiais de base, cujo componente de base possui uma viscosidade na gama de 8,5 a 9,5 mm2/s (cSt) a 100°C; b) pelo menos um antioxidante seleccionado a partir de aminas aromáticas e fenólicos impedidos; c) pelo menos um fosfato orgânico neutro de fórmula (RiO)3PO, em que R1 é um grupo tolilo, fenilo, xililo, alquilo ou cicloalquilo, tendo o grupo alquilo ou cicloalquilo até 10 átomos de carbono; estando o fosfato orgânico neutro presente numa quantidade de 1,5 a 2,5% em peso da composição; d) pelo menos um ácido dicarboxílico saturado e/ou insaturado, de fórmula geral R. e) pelo menos um ácido monocarboxílico saturado ou insaturado de cadeia linear e/ou ramificada, o qual é opcionalmente sulfurado numa quantidade que pode ser até 35% em peso; e/ou um éster de um tal ácido; e f) pelo menos um triazolo de fórmula
ilí em que R"j é -COOH ou seus derivados alquilo, ou alquilo de cadeia curta de até 5 átomos de carbono; n é zero ou um inteiro entre 1 e 3 inclusive; e R"2 é hidrogénio, morfilino, alquilo, amido, hidroxi ou alquilo ou seus derivados arilo substituído; ou um triazolo seleccionado a partir de 1,2,4-triazolo, 1,2,3-triazolo, 5-anilo-l,2,3,4-tiatriazolo, 3-amino-1,2,4-triazolo, 1-H-benzotriazol-l-il-metilisocianeto, metileno-bis-benzotriazolo e naftotriazolo; e g) pelo menos um aditivo de pressão extrema contendo fósforo.
No componente d) anterior, a fórmula estrutural bicíclica pretende indicar que o(s) grupo(s) R2 podem ser ligados a qualquer um ou ambos anéis aromáticos.
Pelo menos um material de base do componente de base é preferivelmente um material de base de éster sintético, especialmente um material de base de éster de poliol. O éster de poliol sintético que forma preferivelmente o material de base da composição lubrificante do presente invento pode ser feito de ácidos monocarboxílicos de C5 a C12, esterificados com polióis ou éteres poliólicos tais como neopentilglicol, dimetilolpropano, trimetilolpropano, pentaeritrol ou dipentaeritritol. Estes são materiais de base convencionais de éster sintético. Os ésteres preferidos são os descritos na patente U.S.4826633. A viscosidade pode ser ajustada para ficar dentro da gama requerida, através da inclusão de um ou mais melhoradores do índice de viscosidade.
Para um desempenho adequado como lubrificante de transmissões, o componente base tem de possuir uma viscosidade na gama de 8,5 a 9,5 cSt, preferivelmente 8,75 a 9,25

O componente de base pode compreender um único éster de poliol, mas geralmente é uma mistura de ésteres de poliol, por exemplo uma mistura de um éster de poliol possuindo uma viscosidade de cerca de 4,0 cSt a 100°C com um éster de poliol possuindo uma viscosidade de cerca de 12,0 mm2/s (cSt) a 100°C. Os ésteres de poliol sintéticos preferidos são produtos de reacção de pentaeritritol e/ou trimetilolpropano e uma mistura ácida compreendendo ácidos de C5 a C,0 de cadeia linear e ramificada. O componente antioxidante b) pode ser um antioxidante fenólico impedido tal como hidroxitolueno butilado, adequadamente presente numa quantidade de 0,01 a 5%, preferivelmente 0,4 a 0,8% em peso de composição lubrificante. Em alternativa ou em conjunto, o componente b) pode compreender uma amina aromática antioxidante tal como mono-octilfenilalfanaftilamina ou ρ,ρ-dioctildifenilamina, utilizada isolada ou em mistura. O componente de amina antioxidante está adequadamente presente numa gama de 0,01 a 5% em peso de composição lubrificante, mais preferivelmente de 0,5 a 1,5%. O fosfato orgânico neutro que forma o componente c da formulação está presente numa quantidade de 1,5 a 2,5% em peso de composição. O fosfato orgânico neutro é também um ingrediente convencional de composições lubrificante e pode ser utilizado um qualquer fosfato orgânico neutro que esteja dentro da fórmula previamente definida. Fosfato de tricresilo é um fosfato preferido para utilização no presente invento.
Os componentes d), e) e f) são destinados a proporcionar um sistema de três componentes inibidor de corrosão. Verificou-se que a combinação possibilita a provisão de composições lubrificantes capazes de satisfazerem os requisitos de inibição de corrosão da United States Navy (teste de corrosão de esfera - ARP 4249) em que um resultado de 50% de especimen não corroído é considerado um requisito satisfatório de protecção contra a corrosão. O ácido dicarboxílico que forma o primeiro componente da combinação anti-corrosão pode ser qualquer ácido dicarboxílico englobado na definição dada anteriormente. O ácido dicarboxílico pode estar presente numa proporção de até 0,15% em peso de composição. Contudo, será de notar que será desejado que ácido sebácico ou um seu equivalente deveria estar sempre presente, mesmo se está presente outro ácido dicarboxílico englobado na definição anterior, porque o ácido sebácico ou um equivalente podem ser necessários para satisfazer outras partes da especificação para além do teste de corrosão da esfera, por exemplo para resistência satisfatória à corrosão do chumbo.

ΕΡ Ο 757 712/PT 5 presente invento são ácido adípico, ácido azelaico, ácido dodecanodióico, ácido 3-metiladípico, ácido 3-nitroitálico, ácido 1,10-decanodicarboxílico e ácido fumárico. O segundo componente da combinação anti-corrosão é um ácido monocarboxílico saturado ou insaturado de cadeia linear ou ramificada, ou um seu éster, o qual pode ser opcionalmente sulfurado numa quantidade até 35% em peso. Preferivelmente, o ácido é um ácido monocarboxílico de C4 a C22, insaturado e de cadeia linear. A concentração preferida deste aditivo é de 0,001% a 0,35% em peso da composição lubrificante total. O ácido monocarboxílico preferido é ácido oleico sulfurado. No entanto, outros materiais adequados são o próprio ácido oleico, ácido valérico e ácido erúcico. O terceiro componente da combinação anti-corrosão é um triazolo como definido anteriormente. O triazolo deveria ser utilizado a uma concentração de 0,005% a 0,25% em peso de composição total. O triazolo preferido é benzotriazolo. O componente g) da composição compreende pelo menos um aditivo de pressão extrema contendo fósforo. Exemplos de tais aditivos são aditivos de pressão extrema de <E) ♦ aminofosfato, tais como os conhecidos pelo nome comercial IRGALUBE 349 e/ou aditivos de pressão extrema/anti-desgaste de fosforotionato de trifenilo, tais como os conhecidos sob o nome comercial IRGALUBE® TPPT. Tais aminofosfatos estão adequadamente presentes numa quantidade de 0,01 a 2%, preferivelmente 0,2 a 0,6% em peso de composição lubrificante, enquanto que tais fosforotionatos estão adequadamente presentes numa quantidade de 0,01 a 3%, preferivelmente 0,5 a 1,5% em peso de composição lubrificante. De preferência, é empregue uma mistura de um aminofosfato e fosforotionato.
Para proporcionar um lubrificante de transmissões de helicópteros, as quantidades de aditivo são seleccionadas de modo a cumprirem com o requisito da United States Navy para o teste Ryder de engrenagem, conduzido a 100°C (média de 6 ensaios), de 200 (classificação relativa, % de Herco A como fluido de referência). O exemplo seguinte pretende ilustrar uma composição lubrificante preferida, de acordo com o invento. (Segue Tabela) 6 85 243

Verificou-se que a composição resultante proporcionou um valor de 204,7 no teste Ryder de engrenagem, a 100°C (como classificação relativa, % Herco® A), e que passou na classificação do teste de corrosão de esfera (de acordo com o método ARP 4249).

Composição lubrificante que compreende: a) um componente de base compreendendo um ou mais materiais de base, cujo componente de base possui uma viscosidade na gama de 8.5 a 9,5 mm2/s (cSt) a 100°C; b) pelo menos um antioxidante seleccionado a partir de aminas aromáticas e fenólicos impedidos; c) pelo menos um fosfato orgânico neutro de fórmula (R!0)3PO, em que R1 é um grupo tolilo, fenilo, xililo, alquilo ou cicloalquilo, tendo o grupo alquilo ou cicloalquilo até 10 átomos de carbono; estando o fosfato orgânico neutro presente numa quantidade de 1,5 a 2,5% em peso da composição; d) pelo menos um ácido dicarboxílico saturado e/ou insaturado, de fórmula geral R, H R. 12 i i 3 (p—«>r-c”a R5 H em que x+y+z é um inteiro na gama de 2 a 22 inclusive, e em que pelo menos um dos grupos R, a R5 é um grupo ácido carboxílico e os restantes grupos R, a R5 são seleccionados a partir de alquilo, hidroxi, nitro, amino, carboxilo, hidrogénio ou seus derivados alquilo, onde alquilo é uma cadeia curta de até 5 átomos de carbono; e/ou um ácido dicarboxílico de uma das três fórmulas

  2. 2. Composição lubrificante de acordo com a reivindicação 1, em que pelo menos um material de base do componente de base é um éster de poliol.

  4. 4. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 a 3, em Λ que o componente de base possui uma viscosidade na gama de 8,75 a 9,25 mm /s (cSt) a 100°C.
  5. 5. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o antioxidante compreende um antioxidante fenólico impedido, presente numa quantidade de 0,4 a 0,8% em peso da composição.
  6. 6. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o antioxidante compreende uma amina aromática antioxidante, presente numa quantidade de 0,5 a 1,5% em peso da composição.
  7. 7. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o ácido dicarboxílico saturado e/ou insaturado e componente d) está presente numa quantidade até 0,15% em peso da composição.
  8. 8. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o ácido dicarboxílico saturado e/ou insaturado e componente d) compreende ácido sebácico.
  9. 9. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o ácido monocarboxílico e componente e) está presente numa quantidade de 0,001 a 0,35% em peso da composição.
  10. 10. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o ácido monocarboxílico e componente e) compreende ácido oleico sulfurado.
  11. 11. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o triazolo e componente f) está presente numa quantidade de 0,005 a 0,25% em peso da composição.
  12. 12. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o triazolo e componente f) compreende benzotriazolo.
  13. 13. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o aditivo de pressão extrema e componente g) compreende um aditivo de pressão extrema de aminofosfato, presente numa quantidade de 0,2 a 0,6% em peso da ή 85 243 ΕΡ Ο 757 712/PT 4/4 composição.
  14. 14. Composição lubrificante de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, em que o aditivo de pressão extrema e componente g) compreende um aditivo de pressão extrema de fosforotionato, presente numa quantidade de 0,5 a 1,5% em peso da composição.
