The backrest has a bulbous backrest cushion placed diagonally, in front of which is a smaller, thin cushion. The first type of industrial-style lounge furniture features identical, distinctly rectangular sides, with a high front beam positioned in the center, providing a gap beneath the beam and a thin seat cushion. At the back, between the sides, in the center, is a high rear beam, providing a gap beneath the beam, and a rectangular recess above it. Deep within the recess is a backrest extending to the height of the sides, on which rests a cylindrical cushion. Additionally, this piece of furniture features a unique feature: each backrest and back cushion can be independently adjusted to one of two positions: either the rearmost position or a forward one-third of the furniture's depth. A third variation of this industrial-style lounge furniture features distinctly rectangular sides, one narrower and the other wider. Between these sides are three tall, identical front beams positioned at the same height, corresponding to the center sections of the sides, with a clearance underneath. The front beams feature thin seat cushions. At the back, between the sides, in their center section, are three tall, identical rear beams positioned at the same height, with a clearance underneath, and a rectangular recess above them. Deep within the recess are rear backrests extending to the side of the furniture, on which cylindrical cushions rest.
