When viewed from the side, these have a truncated cone shape, with a narrow, circumferential narrowing in the center. Furthermore, the front sides of the armchair have thickened and rounded edges. Between the sides is a high, rectangular seat cushion, and beneath it, a high front beam. At the rear, between the sides is a rectangular backrest with a trapezoidal cushion that protrudes above the backrest. The first variation of the industrial-style armchair features sides with thickened, outward-curving upper sections forming armrests.
