Odmiana sposobu wedlug wynalazku jest zasto¬ sowanie do pokrywania powierzchni lub do nasy¬ cania wyrobów i mas, stopionej sacharozy, co wy- 6279362793 4 PL PLPriority: Published: 30.IV.1971 62793 KI. 80 b, 8/02 MKP C C4 b, 35/02 UKD Inventors of the invention: Miroslaw Grylioki, Wladyslaw Bieda, Francißek Nadachowski, Stanislaw Pawlowski Patent owner: Institute of Fireproof Materials, Gliwice (Poland) Method of securing against hydration of refractory masses and products The subject of the invention is a method of protecting limestone and dolomite masses and refractory products against hydration. The main technological difficulty encountered in the production and use of refractory products made of sintered dolomites and limestones is the phenomenon of slow hydration. of lime contained in these products. This phenomenon is the chemical reaction of CaO combining with the moisture present in the atmosphere or in the refractory material itself, leading to the formation of calcium hydroxide. Calcium hydroxide crystallizes, causes cracking and scattering of products. Known methods of preventing this phenomenon are not fully effective. Most often they consist in the absolute elimination of moisture from the production process, i.e. the use of anhydrous tar, a pile of various oils, etc. as a binder, reducing the contact time with wet flue gases in the initial firing period of the products, as well as coating the finished surfaces. The main disadvantage of using tar and pitch is the harmfulness of the vapors of these substances to human health, while oils do not provide adequate mechanical strength of the intermediate before firing. The aim of the invention is to avoid contact with moisture. The method according to the invention consists in coating the grains of sintered lime or sintered dolomite with a sucrose solution with a concentration above 40% or more preferably 60%, and then from the so prepared lime or dolomite formed shapes or masses burn out. After firing, the surfaces of the products are covered with a solution of sucrose and the entire product is optionally impregnated with this solution. On the surface of the grains of lime or dolomite, after coating them with a sucrose solution, a reaction takes place between CaO and sucrose, as a result of which calcium sugars are formed, forming a tight coating on the grains. Therefore, the masses or formed from such prepared dolomite or lime the products are effectively protected against the action of moisture from flue gases flowing around the products during their firing. In the final period of burning, sucrose is oxidized into gaseous products that escape. After firing, the surface is re-covered with the sucrose solution and the entire interior of the products Aj and the masses are saturated with it, protects the product and masses for a long time against the effects of moisture. for surface coating or for saturation of articles and masses, molten sucrose, which may be used for 6279362793 4 EN EN
