Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest urządzenie tnące do cięcia materiału przemysłu tytoniowego. Urządzenie tnące do cięcia materiału przemysłu tytoniowego, zawierające korpus, podajnik materiału, ustnik usytuowany przy wylocie podajnika, głowicę tnącą zawierającą bęben wyposażony w noże usytuowane na powierzchni obwodowej bębna, osłonę głowicy tnącej, przy czym oś obrotu głowicy tnącej jest usytuowana poprzecznie do kierunku podawania na podajniku, charakteryzuje się tym, że osłona jest wyposażona w otwór, przez który następuje wymiana powietrza między wnęką ograniczoną powierzchnią obwodową bębna (11) i dwoma sąsiadującymi nożami a otoczeniem urządzenia tnącego (1).
