Abstract

Przedmiotem wynalazku jest wielofunkcyjny silnik spalinowy, będący silnikiem 4 - suwowym z turbosprężarką lub bez, o zapłonie iskrowym lub samoczynnym, który może pracować zamiennie na 2 różne sposoby: 1. - normalny, pracując na wszystkich cylindrach; 2. - w sposób oszczędny, z wyłączoną pracą części jego cylindrów i rozprężaniem w tych cylindrach gazów spalinowych z cylindrów pracujących. Ciśnienie spalin w cylindrach w chwili otwarcia zaworów wylotowych to nawet 6 bar. ponad ciśnienie atmosferyczne. Silnik ten różni się od zwykłego głównie budową głowicy i rozrządu. Po rozpędzeniu pojazdu, kiedy zapotrzebowanie na moc jest dużo mniejsze, sterownik silnika wyłącza w części jego cylindrów pracę i zmienia sterowanie zaworami, wtedy silnik pracuje w sposób oszczędny.
