Ogniwo płaskie jest przeznaczone do stosowania w ogniwach transportowych przenośników zgrzebłowych. 5 Ogniwo płaskie zawiera w swych ramionach (4, 4.1) łączących łuki (8, 9) w pionowym ustawieniu ogniwa łańcuchowego (2) w pionowym kierunku wysokość ramienia (H), która jest mniejsza niż maksymalna szerokość ogniwa (Bs).
