Badania nad odgumowywaniem wlókien tkackich wykazaly ogólna zasade, ze wszy¬ stkie substancje dzialajace ochronnie na koloidy w jakiejkolwiek emulsji powoduja równiez w roztworze alkalicznym lub kwa¬ snym w odpowiedniej temperaturze i przy odpowiednim cisnieniu odgumowywanie wlókien tkackich. Sposród wspomnianych koloidów ochronnych mozna wymienic np. substancje proteinowe, jak albumine, gluty - ne, zelatyne i kazeine, organiczne siilfo- kwasy, wolny albo polaczony kwas sulfo- rycynoolejowy, oleiniany, stearyniany, pal- mityniany sodu lub potasu i i d. i na ogól mydla, równiez takie, które zawieraja or¬ ganiczna zasade; gumy, zywice, skrobie i t. d.Odgumowywanie przeprowadza sie w zwyklych autoklawach, w których umie¬ szcza sie wlókna tak, aby byly one calko¬ wicie przykryte roztworem wodnym wzie¬ tym w ilosci dziesieciokrotne} w stosunku do wlókna i zawierajacym jedna z substan¬ cji koloidalnych wymienionych powyzej, np. kazeine w ilosci 5 — 15% w stosunku do uzytej wody z dodatkiem 1 — 5% sody zracej oraz odpowiednia ilosc mydla uwo¬ dornionego.Nastepnie zamyka sie autoklaw i za¬ wartosc ogrzewa bezposrednio lub za po¬ moca pary, przy czym cisnienie w autokla¬ wie podnosi sie do 2 — 6 atmosfer. Po ogrzewaniu w ciagu okolo czterdziestu mi¬ nut w zaleznosci od gestosci peków wló-kien rozklejanych wymywa sie wlókna wo¬ da, która wprowadza sie przy cisnieniu 2 atmosfer do tego samego autoklawu, w któ¬ rym zabieg opisany zostal przeprowadzo¬ ny. Wlókna suszy sie nastepnie, po czym sa one gotowe do uzycia we wlókiennic¬ twie lub do innych celów technicznych.Zabieg wyzej opisany stosuje sie rów¬ niez, jesli zamiast substancji wyzej wymie¬ nionych stosuje sie inne substancje koloi¬ dalne, przy czym ilosc tych substancji za¬ lezy od liczby zlotowej.
