Description
Garbowanie surowych skórek i skór ma na celu, najpierw, konserwowanie skóry, potem, takie jej napelnianie, by zamiast pergaminu otrzymywac skóre do zwyklego uzytku. Pierwsza czesc zada¬ nia przeprowadza sie z pomoca szeregu materjalów, a mianowicie solami ciezkich metali, szczególnie chromu i zelaza, dalej aldehydem mrówkowym i t. d. Trudniej - szem zadaniem jest napelnianie skóry, które udaje sie najlepiej przy uzyciu do garbowania kory debowej lub kwebra- chu. Okazalo sie jednak, ze dzialanie tych roslinnych srodków da sie osia¬ gnac z pomoca soli metali, jesli garbo¬ wanie przeprowadza sie w obecnosci cial, zawartych w alkalicznym wyciagu drzewa, slomy i t. d. Tworza one cie- mno-brunatne roztwory, stracane cze¬ sciowo przez kwasy i sole ciezkich me¬ tali. Powyzej opisany sposób daje, prócz dobrego technicznego wyniku, jeszcze nastepujace korzysci: wielka szybkosc wykonania, a szczególnie tanie materjaly wyjsciowe. Alkaliczne wyciagi slorny, t zw. lugi czarne, tworza prawie nic nie kosztujacy materjal wyjsciowy, a przy¬ tem krajowego pochodzenia. PLThe purpose of tanning raw hides and skins is to first preserve the hides, then fill them in such a way that instead of parchment, the skin is provided for normal use. The first part of the task is carried out with the help of a number of materials, namely salts of heavy metals, especially chromium and iron, then formaldehyde, and so on. The more difficult task is to fill the skin, which is best done with the use of oak bark or quebra for tanning. . It turned out, however, that the action of these vegetable agents can be achieved with the help of metal salts, if the tanning is carried out in the presence of bodies contained in the alkaline extract of trees, straw, etc. They form dark brown solutions, lost parts primarily by acids and heavy metal salts. If such solutions, for example those obtained by boiling straw with soda ash, are added to iron alum or the like, a yellow precipitate slowly forms. When such a slurry is applied to the skin, then after fourteen days the skin is obtained, which is not yielding to the filling and tanning, tanned skin oak bark. Instead of iron salts, you can use chromium salts, formaldehyde, etc., although not with equal results. The above-described method gives, in addition to a good technical result, the following advantages: high speed of production, especially cheap starting materials. Alkaline slorny lifts, the so-called Black lugs form a starting material that costs almost nothing, and at the same time of domestic origin. PL
