The industrial design wedding ring has the shape of a ring—a segment of a cylinder, slit diagonally in one place, with the slit having uneven, irregular surfaces. A stone is set in the slit. The ring is made of precious metals (particularly gold, silver, palladium, and platinum) using goldsmithing techniques and is set with a round, brilliant-cut stone. The stone is secured by spring force in the uneven, diagonal slit of the ring.
