Abstract
[Problem] To provide an excellent release film for producing a ceramic green sheet, the release film having a good winding property and also being capable of preventing pinholes, partial thickness variations, or the like even when the ceramic green sheet is thinned. [Solution] The present invention provides a release film for producing a ceramic green sheet, wherein a polyester film substantially free of inorganic particles is used as a substrate, a release coating layer is disposed on one surface of the substrate, the film elastic modulus of the release coating layer is at least 2.0 GPa as measured from the surface on the reverse side of the substrate-side of the release coating layer by a nanoindentation test, and an easily slidable coating layer containing particles is disposed on the other surface of the substrate. In a region of the easily slidable coating layer, the average surface roughness (Sa) is 1-25 nm, the maximum protrusion height (P) is 60-500 nm, and the average length (RSm) of roughness curve elements is 10 æm or less.
