Abstract

[Problem] To provide an excellent release film for producing a ceramic green sheet, the release film being capable of preventing pinholes, partial thickness variations, or the like, and of reducing unwinding charge, even when the ceramic green sheet is thinned. [Solution] The present invention provides a release film for producing a ceramic green sheet, wherein a polyester film substantially free of inorganic particles is used as a substrate, a release coating layer is disposed on one surface of the substrate, and an easily slidable coating layer containing particles is disposed on the other surface of the substrate. In a region of the easily slidable coating layer, the average surface roughness (Sa) is 1-25 nm, the maximum protrusion height (P) is 60-500 nm, and the average length (RSm) of roughness curve elements is 10 æm or less. A single layer, of a mixture composition of a resin and a crosslinking agent, in the easily slidable coating layer has a Martens hardness (HM) of at least 150 N/mm2 and an elastic deformation power (?it) of at least 28 pcnt .
