Dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, the Glycyrrhetinic Acid and Glycyrrhizic Acid are specific compounds isolated from licorice plants. Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Dipotassium
Glycyrrhizate, Disodium Glycyrrhizate, Trisodium Glycyrrhizate, Methyl Glycyrrhizate and Potassium Glycyrrhizinate are salts and esters of Glycyrrhizic Acid. These ingredients are used to enhance the appearance of dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness. This also function as an anti-irritant and skin ] soothing. Furthermore, studies suggest it may also inhibit skin's tyrosinase activity and melanin production making it potential lightening agent that prevent hyperpigmentation.
Other studies have shown that it reduces redness and irritation. 5S Glutathione, a tripeptide of cysteine, glycine, and glutamate, is a primary antioxidant in the body and plays important roles in maintaining intracellular thiol status and in detoxification. Although glutathione exists in both reduced (GSH) and oxidized (GSSG) states, the majority of its pool in the body is in the reduced form. GSH exerts antioxidant activity by acting as a free-radical scavenger during the reductive detoxification of hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxide. in mammalian cells, GSH serves as an electron donor. During electron donation it is converted to GSSG by glutathione peroxidase, but it is reduced back to GSH by glutathione reductase in the presence of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. GSH has a variety of physiological effects. Importantly, it inhibits melanogenesis by suppressing the activity of tyrosinase, and oral administration of GSH in humans reduces melanin production in the skin.
Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Silver oxide is a transparent water solution of silver derivative, which possesses anti-microbial property. lt is effective for bacteria and fungus. Besides it is also effective for acnes and Corynebacterium. Gluconolactone, Sodium benzoate, Calcium gluconate are a synergistic blend composed of gluconolactone and sodium benzoate. These two act synergistically allowing for its broad-spectrum efficacy. Typically, organic acids on their own are too weak and are often require a co-preservative or booster in order to perform optimally.
The gluconolactone in this blend works together with the sodium benzoate to act as an efficient preservation booster. Gluconolactone works by slowly releasing gluconic acid over time, which helps contribute to the preservation. in one embodiment, the composition is filled in a convenient container that can give the formulation in form of fine droplets or mist. in another embodiment, the present invention is useful as a liquid feminine wash cleanser for women who necessitate the use of such feminine wash cleansers to their vaginal area.
