QUE COMPRENDE HACER REACCIONAR AL MENOS UN COMPUESTO AROMATICO NO SUSTITUIDO, MONOSUSTITUIDO O DISUSTITUIDO, CON UNA MEZCLA DE OLEFINAS C8-C100 EN PRESENCIA DE UN CATALIZADOR LIQUIDO DE ACIDO IONICO, DONDE EL PRODUCTO RESULTANTE CONTIENE AL MENOS 50% EN PESO DE UN COMPUESTO AROMATICO 1,2,4 TRISUSTITUIDO O UN COMPUESTO AROMATICO 1,2,3 TRISUSTITUIDO. LOS COMPUESTOS AROMATICOS SE SELECCIONAN DEL BENCENO, TOLUENO, METAXILENO, PARAXILENO, ORTOXILENO Y SUS MEZCLAS; Y LA MEZCLA DE OLEFINAS ES UNA MEZCLA DE OLEFINAS LINEALES, ISOMERIZADAS, RAMIFICADAS Y/O PARCIALMENTE RAMIFICADAS.
